Soon after the verdict the woman was named on social media, which is prohibited under law as complainants of sexual offences are guaranteed lifelong anonymity.

I really don't get this, they should put her in prison.

Why? Just because there wasn't enough evidence for him to be convicted it doesn't therefore mean she's lied or made this up.

I think the only reason she's not being prosecuted is because she never said she was raped. It was the police and CPS who pursued this prosecution. Now admittedly she could have refused to cooperate with them, but I think she's probably safe from jail at this point.

I believe there was more evidence heard in this trial than the last. If there was enough in the last to convict then there was enough in this to convict - however the jury decided the evidence pointed to his innocence rather than guilt so, yes, she probably did make it up.

Her sexual history was given as evidence (this isn't normally done). Essentially they had other guys who had sex with her (one only days after Ched had sex with her) verify that what Ched described as her sexual behaviour, preferences, and words she used whilst having sex was the same as how she had behaved with them.

I must confess I don't know the facts of the story and why he was charged.

I haven't followed the case closely enough to form my own opinion but a not guilty verdict doesn't mean she lied or even probably lied, just that there was not enough evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was guilty.

Unless it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt that she lied (the same burden of proof that applied to Evans trial) then no, she souldn't go to prison.

Oh I agree - and this will never happen because SHE never actually accused him of rape. It was the Police and CPS who pursued this case.
