Ched Evans

I know this is a "I know someone who knows someone who knows her" kind of story, but a lad at work last week told me his mate went to school with her. Apparently she was quite promiscuous and actively sought out footballers/people of fame to entrap and get money?

All hearsay but I wonder how much truth does hold in that, knowing now what we do.

Didn't she originally go to the police because her handbag had been nicked or something ? so if the coppers / cps had left well alone she would have forgot about this and just got on with her life, but no now she's had to move away and change her name because of twitter trolls outing her identity.

She and other "personalities" had obviously made their minds up and spoke up without even looking into it one bit, I hope he takes the CPS and the police and her to court, I know us tax payers will foot the bill and footballers are scum but justice was not served in this case it was demanded by the media.

So how were they so sure he was guilty in the first trial given that she couldn't even remember the incident?

I think people are saying he wasn't proven innocent, ie. he wasn't proven that he didn't/couldn't have done it, just that there apparently now isn't enough evidence to say that he definitely was guilty.
 
According to the DM he's going to sue Sheffield United for £500,000 in lost earnings and the law firm who represented him in the first trial for millions.

can't see that happening the club did what they could for him, on what grounds could he get compensation from his employer he was banged up unable to do his job they had no choice but to terminate his contract.

got a cheek if he does the club paid £3 million for him!
 
I actually despair and cannot be bothered to debate this; but I'll stick with my view that Evans is a low calibre human.

You have literally no idea that she is the victim of a crime, none at all. There is zero evidence of it. Being black out drunk and being unable to consent are entirely separate things. Motor control, the ability to put short term memories into long term memory, your ability to make decisions are different parts of the brain. Alcohol can effect different parts of the brain.

She has absolutely no idea she was raped, if she was she can't remember it, but oh mighty Tummy knows for a fact she was raped, it was horrific for her(what with not even being sure it happened). Then they tried to use her history for justification? Seriously, you are so biased and incapable of discussing this subject it's a joke. The trial didn't start with the assumption by everyone that she was raped and everything said by the defence was just trying to justify a rape.

Establishing a normal behaviour in every single other crime happens naturally and is a useful tool in showing someone is or isn't a certain way. IE a stalker who attacked a girl can be shown to have stalked and attacked three other girls, makes the jury think it's more likely he did this attack(presuming no solid other evidence).
 
Tummys viewpoint is hilarious and absurd.

Just for context, the chatter from the lad at work was regarding her past, her known behaviour, her attitude towards men. So whilst you want to paint some wonderful picture of poor defenceless women, I'm afraid that reality is often quite different and women unsurprisingly can be just as sleaze ball as men.

I can't argue with you on his calibre - that a subjective point of view and you're entitled to yours. What I would say is that if going out and getting drunk and having a threesome makes you 'low calibre' then not only are there many low calibre people in the world but you also would have to put the woman in this case in that category too....
 
Glad he got justice. The legal system has totally failed him though. I can not for the life of me believe how the "victim" didn't even claim she was raped yet they still pushed for a rape case.

A friend of a friend had a similar situation occur to him where his Ex claimed rape and he said "he couldn't remember" due to being high and drunk with her was sent to prison for rape yet not being able to find any semen on his or her clothes still got a succesful rape case against him when his Ex was just ****ed at him for not wanting to get back together.

The female has a huge advantage in rape cases which is totally unfair.
