However in recent years I've started to come around to it.

it doesn't really seem very medieval at all IMO. In the middle ages most people didn't have access to strong corrosives, but could readily yield a knife, sword, or any tool for blunt force trauma.
Indeed, a quick bit of research show that acid attacks started more in the 19th century during the industrial revolution where these chemicals became more available.


But i think it is a bit irrelevant, it is just a barbaric act in itself and should carry life sentences

For immigration as a whole, it is fairly balanced with more women than men in general.


Fir refugees, this change each year but is about 75% men and 75% adults. But refugees only make up 6% of the total immigration. The reason for gender and age imbalance is based purely on logistical and physical effects on children and women, who seek asylum closer to home (but for which there is zero legal requirement). If you placed the UK right next to Syria or Afghanistan the UK would see more women and children.
