Chinese GP 2009 - Race 3/17

I'm willing to bet that if Brawn were where everybody expected them to be - halfway down the midfield, fighting to break into the top 10 possibly - that Flavio wouldn't be kicking up a stink. It's just sour grapes because he's losing.

Too right, no one expected them to be as competetive as they are right now and so did the decent thing, no doubt Bernie pulled strings behind the scenes make the deal possible and now these teams are paying the price and so Flav starts to whine, just let the cars and drivers do the talking on the track I say.

Looking good for BGP based on fuel loads and Alonso is going to be quick with just fumes for a few laps.

Flav's what a cry baby
I hope karma gives them something back like alonso crashes out
on the first lap.

A furious Briatore has said he will propose to the Formula One Teams' Association (FOTA) that monies owed to Brawn GP, worth around £30 million, are instead split between rival teams to help pay for diffuser development costs.

What a ****! I don't know whether they are due the money or not but to bring in the old diffuser one again is a classic!

When asked at Shanghai if he had a message for Briatore, Brawn cheekily replied: "I think change the medication!"
:D

I heart Flav.

He is right though, why should Braun (deliberate) get free travel, Forice India must still be paying for their travel. And why should they get Honda's money?
Lets not forget, all this money and they still paid off 270 folk.

C'mon Fernando!!

The difference is Brawn are getting no money from the sport this year for winning. The deal was done so that they could enter as a new team and keep honda's money but any prize money stays with bernie.

Brawn can win the title and not make anything.

Nice to see the fuel loads and the Brawns are around 5/6 laps longer as predicted. :)

Duke, nice last quote lol :D

This is looking good for brawn again. if they can get of the start line. We've seen what button can do with a few laps. Poor quail from him though.

I didn't think it was a poor button performance at all, considering the fuel load only Rubens beat him. Which will happen atleast 1 in 3 races this year.

He can still win the race depending on the first corner and how the starts go.

Didn't the teams all (Including Flavio/Renault) unanimously vote, as a gesture of goodwill that Brawn should get Honda's money though, in order to save the team? Mercedes supplying a last minute engine deal, the teams clubbing together to get them to the grid?

That's the thing though, if you offer to help someone out who is struggling, and then find out that they are no longer struggling and the help you have given them is hurting you, you soon change your mind.

They are still struggling. Brawn GP may not be on the grid next year. They don't have funding for next year and no money to develope the car for 2010 as of yet.

It is not hurting them though, it's squabbling over something like 3mil extra

Wasnt there a large sum of money included in the sale of Honda to the buyer, offered as an incentive? They were offering it as it would be cheaper for them to sell the team and give the new owner a wadge of cash, than it would be to not sell the team and pay off all the employees and other contracts they were in?

I think the Brawns will still have a slight advantage, although not quite as big as it was. Suprised at how quickly other teams are catching up. The buzz around the McLaren and Ferrari garages does seem to be missing, great for the rest of us.

Honda gave Brawn about 100mil cash I think
