Chinese Grand Prix 2010, Shanghai - Race 4/19

Seeing as LH and SV ended up side by side, it's pretty obvious that SV was released first.

LH clearly saw SV on his left as he nearly lost the back trying to avoid him, then rather than backing off and lodging a protest or whatever, he decided to keep his foot down and drive through the other pit boxes and almost over the hoses for the other teams wheel guns.

To me, that's total idiocy, as is veering across the grass to get into the pitlane as he did earlier in the race. For balance, so was Alonso's move on Massa into the pit lane.

Good lord what on earth are Martin and Ted on about. They're speaking utter utter BS. Back the whole field up? Please.

Have you actually watched it? They were released at exactly the same time!
Vettel just pulled away a lot better, and then tried barging Hamilton into another pitbox.

This. Released at same time. LH got wheel spin, SV didn't. SV proceeds to push LH into other pit garages/tyre guns.

I have to agree, there have been some questionable decisions from some of the drivers this race.

I'll wait to see what the stewards say about the pit thing.

That was a late call by the team to pit him, and it was do that or go round the track again and possibly lose more time/position. Im sure he didn't want the gravel and other bits and bobs flying into his car, but he didn't really have a choice.

Ah I must have missed that, ok fair enough if they were both released at the same time. But even so, keeping the toe down and driving through the other pits - not clever IMO.

So he should have smacked into Vettel instead? He took the only avoiding route he had.

Agreed, it was stupid, but if Vettel just kept to the left there would have been more than enough room and he would still have got out ahead of Lewis. The barging is something I'd expect from Schumacher not Vettel!

He could've backed off and followed him out.

Why should he though, as Vettel was behind him in the grid slots you could have argued that Vettel should have backed off. Lewis followed his lollypop mans instructions (which assume he is safe to be released) and was back ready to race again.

leggard or whatever his name is sounds like an excited 12 year old all the time, its damn annoying, and its always when there isnt anything really exciting going on..he really needs to go for next year, would make it nicer for me to listen to.
