Chinese Grand Prix 2011, Shanghai International Circuit - Race 3/19

The only thing I don't like about these tyres is how quick you get screwed if you can't get passed a car instantly.

Great race from Lewis but driver of the day for me was Webber.
 
Great race, although shame it all has to come down to DRS and tyres (good to see that DRS isn't necessarily an automatic pass). Great drive by Hamilton and Webber - good to see RBR screwing up with reliability and strategy.
 
unlucky button but webber was prepared to drive that car to pieces (well, the pieces that still worked anyway) today. Hats off to him tbh

McLaren traditionally are better in race trim over qualifying.

Webber got the hard tyre out of the way when the track was at it's worst. As the track improved he switched to fresh soft tyres and kept on them. Pretty much an immediate 1s laptime advantage.

If they were on the same tyres at the sane time, I wonder what the pace of the Red Bull would have been.

Completely agree. If RBR sort out their strategy and KERS issues, they are still miles ahead. At least I got my wish of Vettel getting a bad start - we need more of that!
