Chinese Grand Prix 2012, Shanghai - Race 3/20

Really hope this energy continues through this season, would be a welcome break from the previous two years/seasons.

+1

Will be interesting to see how Mercedes get on from here - was it just this track that suited them? I certainly cant wait to see. RB got lucky, that car isn't good at all at the moment.

people were talking about brawn speaking on his mobile phone and not pit radios?

No, we were talking about the Sky interview with him after the race that we couldnt hear.

God I wish McLaren would stop with the new overalls in the press conference thing!

Enjoyed the race a lot. Massive amount of action going on all the way through the field and the race. Gutted for Jenson, think he would have been challenging for the lead at the end had he not been held up in the pits. Great to see them all smiling after the race though. Especially Lewis who looked really happy, possibly something to do with his dad being around?

I think Mercedes got pretty lucky here, obviously great in qualifying, but the relatively low track temps have helped them in the race no doubt. I fully expect them to be really murdering their tyres in the heat of Bahrain. Bring on next week!

So we got the dry race everyone wanted to allow them to concrete their opinions of what's going on and everything is back up in the air! lol.

A few conclusions I have come too:

RBR are struggling. Being fast in the corners and slow on the straights is only good if you start at the front.
Rosberg is outperforming Schumacher. The 1/2 second in qualifying was all from the driver, and until Schumacher retired Rosberg was pulling away convincingly.
The performance gap between Vettel and Webber has gone. Its as even as it was in 2010 again.
McLaren have the race pace to take the title.
Alonso is mighty impressive. I actually thought he might end up on the podium at 1 point.
Massa is embarrassing.
Williams have leapt forward from last year.

But the most important thing, this year is going to be epic! :)
