Chinese Grand Prix 2013, Shanghai - Race 3/19

That's because I think Vettel wants two things, but he can't have both.

On the one hand he wants to be received well by people and thought of as a nice affable guy.

On the other hand he wants to destroy records, be the best Formula 1 driver there ever was and win everything.

I think he's starting to realise that to achieve this he needs to be ruthless and would rather be an 8+ times world champion than be remembered as the guy who apologised over team orders.

He's realising that he might not be able to leave the legacy of "Mr Nice Guy"...

It's a lovely day here, albeit quite smoggy.

Gfs birthday today then muchos drinking and partying until Sunday am, so I'm gonna rely on you guys and this thread for juicy info :)

Yeah, the Merc's are not only going fast, but once again going longer, so deffo have more than quali fuel and showing the speed on longer runs. Webber did a good time but came out after the Merc's and has since gone back in while the Mercs are still out and going faster.
I'm still thinking that car is almost awesome but they haven't perfectly got that car sorted in terms of race strategy. Though there is a lot of luck in cars/track. I think the Lotus just perfectly worked out for a 2 stop at Aussie, while other cars were caught somewhere between a 2 and 3, at another track the Lotus will be caught between a 2 and 3 stop, while another car will have to do a 3 stop but will "fit" better, faster while doing the 3 stop and works out better.

Unfortunately it seems to be almost all about tyres + luck with getting into a pit stop strategy that leaves you in a lot of clear air.

Rosberg goes top with a 1m35.819s on softs. That is a faster time then MSC last year. Webber did a 1m36.092s on softs.

A 1m35.340s from Massa! on softs

The Lotus drivers, currently 14th and 15th now going on to softs.

Massa\Kimi\Alonso are the top 3 now
