Everyone batts on about the Ferrari straight line speed but it seems all moot, or even, dare I say it, fantasia, given it's yet to work anything for them even on their strongest tracks (and there aren't many of those). Then you have the decision and direction-less management of Ferrari in the build up, FP, Qual and race. It's farcical. Meanwhile, Merc grow from strength to strength and outshine them in every possible way.

In my head I’d rather be faster round the corners I think as surely my faster exit speed of the corner will put me at a better position to the faster in a straight line car behind? (I’m no expert but that makes sense in my head?!) So I’m already ahead/have a buffer to the straight line beast behind until he can overhaul the corner exit speed difference and use his straight line beast advantage? So barring a looooong straight where the car behind can make use of the straight line speed it’s not going to help.

It will be interesting to see if Ferrari have a massive advantage at Spa, Monza and Silvestone with their supposed "faster on the straight" car. I suspect that Mercedes testing two concepts during testing might be a response to that.

Boring as hell race but epic win for Hamilton and Merc.

It’s increasingly looking like Merc are going to run away with the championship yet again. It’s lolworthy management by Ferrari.

That stacked pit stop from Merc was poetry in motion, just went so smoothly.

I just don't understand why Ferrari didn't pit either vettel or leclerc early to solve the problem of them getting in each other's way and stop the undercut from red bull. With 2 stops it's not like would have been marginal stopping a few laps earlier

Boring race. Nothing to say really.
Pretty much same as last year. Ferrari make some odd decisions.

So glad I don't watch live races anymore.not worth it. Why waste an hour and a half when today they struggled to make highlights even interesting

It leaves a really sour taste in the mouth the way Ferrari are actively screwing Leclerc over because he's outperforming Vettel, "yeah Charles these tyres you're on are 3 seconds a lap slower than if we were to pit you like we just did Sebastian but stay out for another 5 laps so we don't have to put up with you embarrassing us over our clear favouritism".

Well that was boring, 3/10 from me. Would like to thank Ferrari for ruining any true rivalry among teammates by initiating team orders for no reason whatsoever, what a bunch of tools.

Mercedes are just streets ahead in every way.

Yeah. I don't get it. I've never liked ferrari, and this just helps that. It's not even a good strategy. Looking like leclerc has the legs on vettel, yet for some reason they are favouring vettel? Makes no sense, everyone can see it

What would happen if Le Clerc had ignored team orders? Surely Ferrari wouldn't fire him if they believe he's got something special.
They would have pitted vettel first which probably would have been the optimal solution as then leclerc wouldn't have had to slow down and if pitted right after might have come out closer to max

Lando's floor damage.

20 additional points for fastest laps in 20 races is almost one win more.

Yet it could cost you several more wins in terms of worn out parts. It isn’t worth it unless easily within reach. Take a few more points out of that total in scenarios like Gasly’s and it makes it even less worth it.

Hamilton and Mercedes are laughing while Ferrari continue to back the wrong driver.
