Hello chums!

Fair warning. This 'media' may have been written by an idiot or a salary-free intern (or both, huzzah!) but get your serious pants on, okay?

Question: Should chocolate be stored in the fridge (yes*) or put on your least favourite shelf in your pantry/corner sofa space **

SHould chocolate be stored in the fridge?

* come on!
** boo and probably hiss.

Absolutely in the fridge.

Those mega Crunchie and Kit Kat Easter eggs will be going on sale soon enough and those are gods. They each get their own fridges in my house; I fill them up and consume one of each as a little treat after a kill / sacrifice. Rejoice! \o/

Entirely depends on the chocolate.

I'm a fan of very cocoa heavy dark chocolate, eat a couple of bits a day. Milk chocolate should be room temperature, the entire point surely is having it melt in your mouth?

No problem with chocolate being stored cold, especialy if ambient is so hot it would melt but if you eat it cold your a monster :p Numbs the flavour.

goes to hard in the fridge.
best around 10c

I used to date a woman who wouldn't eat chocolate if it had white marks on it, IDK what it is I always assumed its just a bit of the oils leaking out, or it ever so slightly melted and re-set...

Dark chocolate tastes better cold - scientific fact.
Really? I didn't know that. I don't eat dark chocolate.

It's called blooming, just the ingredients seperating caused by temp changes or moisture. Nothing wrong with it perfectly edible still.

Depends where you live and what it is. Here plain chocolate, non-chocolate biscuits out the fridge, chocolate bars like Mars Bars or Snicker Bars in the fridge. Chocolate biscuits can go in the fridge or freezer, Kit-Kats fridge, chocolate digestives and Penguin bars in the freezer. Basically coldest you can get them before they get too hard.

Although if you're in Australia then all chocolates in the fridge most the time otherwise they will get too soft.

they're already on sale where I am :(

unpopular take but unless it's dark chocolate it shouldn't be sold to be even considered for frigidisation (thats a word fight me)
