I agree, although it does make snapping a massive block of the stuff very hard.Can't believe this has come up here as well.
Plain bar of just chocolate - ie dairy milk - should be kept in the fridge.
Anything else at room temp (shaded cupboard in summer).
Entirely depends on the chocolate.
I'm a fan of very cocoa heavy dark chocolate, eat a couple of bits a day. Milk chocolate should be room temperature, the entire point surely is having it melt in your mouth?
