Chocolate in fridge | Face off

Simple:

Bags of Chocolate Items - Fridge or Freezer
Choccy bar - Fridge or Freezer
Cadbury's Cream Egg - Bin

Such is my dedication to chilled confectionary, on the rare occasion I've got a whole bag to myself, I might even put ice in a bowl under the bag of choccies to keep it cool whilst I eat it (usually watching a movie)...

I know this may be used against me by the powers that be, but I am prepared to be a martyr to the cause.

It depends on the confectionery but the fridge is alright generally. My dad went a step further and put Crunchies in the freezer and it was an abomination.

I've read the comments from the article I linked and I am beyond furious.

"pantry in the winter, fridge in the summer" - Emma Jane, 8 hours ago.

Pick a lane dammit, Emma-Jane, if that even is your real name which I doubt

Refrigerated chocolate is one of the most common causes of broken and chipped teeth in the UK according to my dentist.

I don't put bars of chocolate in the fridge.

The only reason I can see that you might, is if you live in a very hot country.

Depends if you like it hard, or not

If you like it hard, then fridge it, if you dont, then dont fridge it

Gemima or whatever she's called tells me

" The ideal temperature for storing chocolate is between 15°C and 20°C (59°F and 68°F) "

I agree, chocolate if stored in the fridge should be returned to room temperature prior to consumption or you'll go blind :D

Can't believe this has come up here as well.

Plain bar of just chocolate - ie dairy milk - should be kept in the fridge.

Anything else at room temp (shaded cupboard in summer).

Some times I’ll stick them in the freezer. They’re awesome when rock solid. Although now I fear for my teeth.

Otherwise in the drawer - bars tend to stay out on the counter so I can eat a block every single time I go past until it’s finished.

I agree, although it does make snapping a massive block of the stuff very hard.

chocolate lives in the fridge...

After Eight's mint cholocate cold is very yummy.

The only chocs that I don't put in the fridge are Farrah Rocher...

Entirely depends on the chocolate.

I'm a fan of very cocoa heavy dark chocolate, eat a couple of bits a day. Milk chocolate should be room temperature, the entire point surely is having it melt in your mouth?

Do you prefer to drink milk at room temperature or chilled?
