If you're a fashion retard. Like me.

I don't think any of those suit me (except the top right), but the selection at most places is pretty similar.

Then there's this:
http://www.framesdirect.com/include/information/face_shape_guide.aspx

which totally confuses me as none of those people look like the shapes they're matching them with...

So I wonder is my face an oblong, a diamond, or a reverse tetrahedron? /boggle It's just there to confuse me, I'm sure.

The last pair of glasses I bought I absolutely hated, so I'm trying to get it right this time.

How can I buy glasses like a boss, OcUK?

The first two and the penultimate one look alright on you. Failing them, just get massive NHS style glasses without any glass in them and be a pro hipster.

1. Note down the manufacturer and model number from the arm.
2. Order online
3. Profit

I tried that once but the results were horrible, probably because I never got asked for measurements of my eye from the centre of my face etc. The frames fitted I just couldn't see out of them. Vision Express have been nothing but helpful. Most of the online places will take them back for free so you don't have anything to lose except time.

Don't decide until you've tried some on - comfort is a huge factor. Fit is also important. Stay away from extremely narrow designs as they influence the edge thickness. Consider an anti-reflective coating if using for screen work. Be sure to get an accurate Pupil Distance measurement (PD), this is essential for correct lens placement (Will be anything between 55 - 72 mm).
Need further advice, let me know.
