Hi. I have a GTX 680 with the latest drivers and the frame-rates in game seem to be high i'm playing Max Payne 3 and BF3 all maxed out always above 60fps to 120fps.

When I move around just with WASD the game is smooth but when I move the mouse around the game is very choppy especially if I focus on one point close to me like a enemy and use strafe to move around it. I have noticed this issue with most games however if I play cs 1.6 I don't get this same issue. It's as if when I move my mouse the graphics almost skip a step it's hard to describe in words and I tried to do a video however i'm limited to a iPhone that'll record at a low fps. I thought maybe this is a mouse issue I changed mouse and it has only started happening since I upgraded to my GTX 680.

Does anyone know the reason this could happen and how I could resolve it?

Try using 306.23 and if that doesn't work, try 310.90. These are fairly old drivers now but were rated as the better drivers.

Worth a shot and will at least point to a driver or hardware problem :)

I just uploaded a video you can all view on YouTube. Even the iPhone picks this up. Please bare in mind I put the settings right down to low no AA and V-Sync on so always hitting 120FPS. Notice how I move around it appears smooth. Then notice how when I focus on one part of the wall pillar the corner the graphics appear choppy even thought the frame rate is a constant 120.

I am never a fan of reinstalling windows and try everything to sort errors prior but I don't think even reinstalling windows will sort that (I do hope I am wrong). There seems to be the occasional 680 that will just mess about in some instances and not play ball at all. One guy here tried everything to no avail. A change of GPU sorted it.

I reinstall windows once every 4 - 6 weeks, just to keep things running smooth, takes 10 minutes with an SSD. I have 2 ssd's and 1 just has windows on, i never lose any files like steam. Always fixes my problems.

What do you mean? Is there a known problem with these cards?

Have you tried lowering "maximum pre-rendered frames" in the control panal to one and changed power management mode to "prefer maximum performance"?

Like so,

Might not help but worth a try.

No. One guy here could not lose the stutter regardless of what he tried. He bought a Titan (well 2 actually) and that sorted his problem. I get bored at work and go through the internet searching and have never found anyone else who could not lose the stutter, so hopefully he was just very unlucky.

Crysis 3 is a jittery game.

List the games you are noticing this in.

On your monitor do you have any settings named stuff like "trace free"?

I had to lower mine on my Asus for similar reasons.

I don't buy this malarkey about using older drivers, when I had my 680 up until recently I never experienced such things on all the latest drivers. I update them the day they drop.
