Christian Bale losing it on set of T4 at the DP

It is an unprofessional reaction, would you not agree though? especially when he's going on about being professional to the DP.

I don't know whether it is as unprofessional as the scenario leading up to the reaction. I doubt it.

At least until the threats came out, anyway. By that point an argument had ensued but I could only make out the Bale half.

yeah the terminator films are a really unsuccessful series. what a loser bale must be agreeing to play john connor.

Terminator 3 didn't do massively well iirc.

Terminator 1 + 2 are so old they don't count.

The director is a hack. The film will probably be terrible.

Just because its part of the Terminator franchise, doesn't mean its going to do well or have any credibility.

You haven't seen the new T4 yet though Chimerical. Basing his popularity on a film that hasn't been released yet is a bit foolish, no? Regardless of who is directing it.

You only have to look back at his most recent films, including the obvious Dark Knight to know that he is hot **** atm in Hollywood.

Uhhhh......I don't quite know what planet YOU live on. By your logic anything that is older than say 1994 cannot be taken into account because it's "old"?

Also again, judging the guys acting talents on a movie that hasn't been released yet by a random director...bit silly.

I'm sure being an actor is more stressful than you realise.

You're trying to pretend to be someone else, somewhere else, in front of cameras, with the burden of the film being worth several hundred million dollars and your career resting on your performance.

If I was in that situation, I'd probably be quite irritable too. I'm not justifying it but I can see quite easily why it may happen.

Give over, it's out of order, he should have more self control, if he has a problem with the DP then deal with it in a more civilized manner, just becuase he's under pressure doesn't give him the right to verbally abuse someone on the job becuase they make a mistake.

People are under pressure in all types of jobs, take a nurse that has been on a heavy shift for 16/18 hours, do you think they have the right to speak to someone like that when someone makes a mistake ?, what about the US president ?, or our current PM, do you not think they act the same way behind close doors when mistakes are made ?

Yes, I'm not disputing that, and that he's getting paid millions of dollars blah blah.

But that doesn't make his career bulletproof, and I was suprised when he signed up for this movie (considering the director & the franchise).

Although, to be fair, him appearing in this film has nothing to do with the success of Dark Knight, seeing how he was probably signed on and filming T4 before DK was released and recieved such massive commerical success.

It went on a bit long but the reaction isn't particularly harsh or too far IMO.

The other guy should not be arguing the way he did. He obviously messed an important scene up and got a reaction. He should just have walked away.

Who is more important between a lighting dude and the star of the film who is possibly the most sought-after actor in the world at the moment?

Know your place ;)

Totally agree. With the amount of money at stake (not just his salary, but the amount invested in films like this) and his career being very much in the open to public scrutiny (think about how you would be if everyone had an opinion about how you do your job!) the least you should expect is the crew around him being professional. For all we know he just about nailed that scene and this guy totally messes up.
