Christian Bale losing it on set of T4 at the DP

He was acceptable in American Psycho, though not compelling. He simply failed to convey the necessary charisma and malice required for the part; he felt "matter of fact" rather than "cold and calculating". There was no chill factor. He was superb as the suave control freak businessman, but not so good as the sociopathic killer.

Dark Knight was a huge disappointment; he played an utterly unconvincing Batman, easily upstaged by Ledger and Caine. No grativas, no menace, no "anti-hero" vibes. Just a pretty boy in a costume.

I don't rate him as an actor.

I think he was outstanding in American Psycho, as well as Batman Begins and the Prestige. Also The Machinist and Harsh Times.

His role in the most recent Batman film wasn't great, but that was the fault of the script which didn't give him a very major role.

His reaction may have been justified but he didn't handle the situation very well. He humiliated a collegue infront of everyone and showed him a complete lack of respect. If you want respect from your collegues and to build a reputation as being a decent actor to work with, you've got to show respect to everyone on the team, no matter how small their roles are in comparison.

Edit: That being said, its only human to loose our cool sometimes. I have. The unusual length of this outburst is what has grabbed the public's attention. I'm sure he's told many a people hes worked with to **** off now and then. To be shouted at for almost 4 minutes without arguing back is pretty hurtful.

He gave a roasting to someone , big deal

although I'm suprised Bale had to rant about it instead of the director or whoever was controlling the set

although I'm suprised Bale had to rant about it instead of the director or whoever was clearly doing a bad job of controlling the set

I can understand him getting angry, some dude is walking around dropping lights while the actors are being filmed, and nobody is stopping him. It has to fall to the actor to point out the problem!
