Christmas Steam Sale!

Want IL2:Battle of Stalingrad for the VR support, but £20 in a sale? That's way too much to pay to play for ten minutes, then throw up. I can do that in DCS for free. Maybe next Christmas; might have got my VR legs by then.

I have £1.01 in my Steam Wallet. Maybe I can get Spelunky if I sell some of the card trash littering my account. Mind you, the last platformer I enjoyed was snakes and ladders on Boxing Day 1972... and only because I was high on Jelly Tots.

Steam deals haven't impressed me in like 3 years. Ended up buying Resi 7 elsewhere
CDKeys are consistently the cheapest by some distance. They don't really have sales as such and don't have as wide a stock of games compared to most other places but what they do have tends to always be cheaper.

Yup, exactly where I bought Resi. Says a lot about these so called sales when their normal price is far lower than Steam's sale price.

I'm _pretty_ sure CDkeys are grabbing wholesale boxed versions (thus basically guaranteed international key) from cheaper countries markets, quick photo/scan of the printed CD-key... jobs a good-un. Completely fair enough, bit of wastage but I guess if it works...

I would rather use them than give Steam their 30-40% markup as developers make the same amount only the publishers & Valve lose out which is such a shame (NOT)!

This looks good. Hive Jump £3.75 in the Steam sale which is the cheapest it's been :eek::eek: :D

Can anyone recommend it?

Specifically whether it would be good for me and my 5yr old lad. Poop in the Soup went down well last night (sounds so wrong..)! I have pretty much all the Lego games... Can anyone recommend any co-op games for a 5yr old please?

Cheers.

Elite Dangerous £4.99, is it any good?
Define good :p

It's very good at what it does and it's constantly growing with developers who simply love the subject matter.

Personally I don't have hours and hours to float around not doing much.

If you want a space sim then it's great. Some of my mates can't get enough, personally I got bored...

I've had £90 burning a hole in my steam wallet since selling loads of PubG stuff. So I got the following:

Heat Signature
Cuphead
Mother Russia Bleeds
Steamworld Dig 2
The Witness
Hotline Miami

I have picked up a few oldies which I have been meaning to buy for ages:-

Full Throttle
Zombie Army Trilogy
Vampire Bloodlines
Black Mesa
Resident Evil 5

Aerofly 2 at 10% off and £40 can stay on my wish list, it's been 25 quid previously in a sale. I'll at least wait until it's that price again.
