These are both of our tree's - one is cold light, one is warm light.

Real Nordmann fir, static warm white lights. Definite no to flashing! Bright white lights seem really cold and not Christmassy, and multi coloured look terrible.

We've gone for the same this Christmas but not had the chance to decorate the tree yet!

Multi coloured lights look nice if they are decent quality and that is all there is, no other stuff. They look particularly good outdoors on a living tree.
