Christmas work parties

Ours is in 10 days.

Free bar and 70s theme. Gonna get messy, luckily work is pretty chilled so no one will be expected to be at work early the day after

Not a clue when ours is and quite frankly I don't care either. :p

I have to work with these people all day and have no desire to socialise with them as well ;)

my works xmas do was this evening but i've been ill all week so didnt feel up to it. the painkillers did finally kick it about 30 minutes before the taxi was due to arrive but i wasnt ready in time so had to give it a miss :( was really looking forward to it...havent really had a good year

It is bad form to break traditional dress code, even worse than removing your jacket before the host. If he has any respect for the host he will turn up in proper dress.

Etiquette must be respected. Formal dress is one of the great traditions that hasn't been tainted too much by modern fashion and ignoring such an established dress code is disrespectful and embarrassing.

Chill out man, sheesh.

Ours was Friday night and I'm still feeling hung over :( however I do believe its a combination of to much drink and getting older.

Pre dinner champagne/cocktails, champagne/wine with the meal and free bar all night.

7pm until 3am. Early finish for me this year, last year I left at 5am and the person I sit next to at work left at 7pm on Saturday a full 24 hours from the start

We have atleast a few xmas do's. Free bar at a local pub, dinner dance, xmas lunch somewhere and err....some random **** up amongst colleagues. :) All good.

No swearing, JG

Another exciting topic from JodieG, the popularity of this thread is not down to her being female, not at all.

Wow did it take you a whole day to come up with that? Very poor.

We got back just before 1am last night, had a great time and a good dance with everyone :D I really enjoyed myself. Pics of the white tux coming soon :D

Here's some pics. I'm not scowling just got caught mid blink, the others were even worse :(.

Doesn't seem right you weren't invited to yours :(
I think ive sort of been forgotten about. I work in a secondary school but because im not in any specific department (im the first LSA theyve had there) I am presuming they all have departmental parties, and ive just been missed. Never mind, saves a bit of money!
I could just hold my own in my flat, wear a silly hat and try and photocopy bits of me!
