Well, I managed to pass my first two computer based assessments yesterday :) I can't say that I foundd them that difficult in comparison to my physics degree, but still, revising was a bit dull, although i didn't do that much. I have two more this month so am just getting into economics and corporate governance which may prove a bit more stimulating.

How many of us are in the middle of CIMA/ACCA then?

ACCA here.. get the result for my last exam on 16th Feb!
(2nd time of taking this exam and not feeling too confident this time either!)

That's my thinking, just getting started on managing tax and VAT at work so will have a lot of experience by the end of the year. Looking forward to sitting 2 professional exams in may :D

Wow, at 20? How did you find somebody to put you through ACA without a degree?

Well I'm 21 this May, and so long as I don't fail my degree will be starting at Deloitte this Autumn.

ACA for me!

I have sat 6 exams so far this accademic year and got another 6 to go! LONG hours in college :)

Me too, though I've done the first 12 and have my final 3 in November so I'm official 'part qualified' :)

Managed to pass them all first time :)

Im on first time passes as well so far (only done the first six).

Im in the office today revising for Financial Accounting, Tax and Audit & Assurance.....

Technically im trawling the ocuk forums first tho!

i'm doing the ACA at the moment, done 6 exams so far, and found them easy so far.

Think more stupidly, I'm signing up to do CFA level 1 in the summer for 'fun'

Just finished my first round of managerial papers with CIMA, passed both, BARELY!

One thing which tripped me up was the pure ease of the certificate papers (2 hours revision the night before, BAM, pass!).

You actually HAVE to revise like you're at Uni with the normal professional papers :(

What is annoying is e.g. P1 Management Accounting, going through a few past papers and a few good hours of revision is enough. But for P7 Tax and Reporting or something or other it took twice the amount of revision because there's so much information to learn!

As you can tell i'm not one to do my homework and am a fanboy of last minute revision!

:D

I dont know if this is much different or not but here at my work we have college leavers going straight into work and learning CIMA. (Fail and get fired, hahaah!)
