CIMA...... Just got started

Done P2 and I'm hopeful but it was always going to be a bit dodgier than E2 so now it's a case of putting it out my mind until results day. Really don't like these afternoon exams as the morning feels like a complete waste.

Good luck for tomorrow SpeedFreak.

Thanks. I have to say, F2 is a weird syllabus. 75% of the study is consolidation but it is only 35% of the syllabus  Just running through my ratios once more and different loan types and am done.

P2 was a paper that suited me but I have a friend who failed it four times so it's definitely tricky. Best of luck with the result, I'm envious of you for having this sitting finished. E2 was waffle central for me at the time. I scored 50% exactly lol.

My girlfriend sat her second and third exam yesterday and today. Has been very very busy recently, but we both know it will pay off in the long run.
I've had a mental work week myself, along with a large amount of course work for my top up degree to do, I'm going to have to get some time management tips from her!!

Good luck to everyone doing the exams, hope everything goes well!!

Results out today, How did everyone go? Pretty happy, got 78 & 61 on E1 & E2 so will be doing strategics in May now. Hopefully it will all be over with this time next year!

Be happy in the knowledge that actually qualifying i.e. submitting your practical experience is the easiest part of the whole thing. Just make sure you're keeping a journal of all the relevant experience you're knocking up. This will make it MUCH easier to complete the extended CV.

If you're doing it online, good luck dealing with Siebel events management though :(. What a pile of poo that program actually is.

I thought it was bad enough when trying to book exams etc but that doesn't fill me with joy about the prospect of having to use it further.

I'm pretty happy though, passed both E2 and P2 at that sitting. Neither are fantastic marks but solid enough passes so I'm perfectly fine with that. Only another month or so until I start on Strategic Level though...

Hope everyone else got the results they wanted/needed.

Everyone ready for exams next week?

Bit of a **** time for me I have HMRC coming to do a VAT inspection at work tomorrow, then I am completing on my flat purchase on Friday (fat chance of any revision over the weekend) then I have my 3 strat exams tue, wed, thursday. Hoping I'll muddle through somehow, want to get T4 done in September

I'm slowly getting there I hope, I'm also down for the Strategic Level next week but I'm off work now until the exams. I've been to the revision courses and the question based days so it's all up to me now. Good luck to you and anyone else sitting them next week.

Got my ACA Financial Management and Business Strategy exams in a few weeks. Business Strategy is such a load of waffle, find it really tough to revise as it's so dull. Hopefully it will all fall together on the BPP revision course as usual :D

Results out today, how did people do? Managed to pass all my strats thankfully - somehow managed to get 79 in F3, did ok in E3 and just passed P3, now just finding somewhere I can study T4 for the 30 August exam, want to get it out of the way asap.

Does anybody do CA (ICAS) in here? I'm just starting to think about my final exam which will be in November. I have two lots of 8 days in BPP in August and September. :o

Then hopefully i'll be fully qualified (nearly there time wise).

What kind of jobs sponsor this? I know a lot of graduate schemes do CIMA.

I work for a manufacturing company but the guys I have done my courses with have been from places like Addidas, Co-op, NHS, Peel Holdings...loads of random companies.

Any company with a large enough sized finance dept will possibly have some sort of development/training scheme.

It doesn't even have to be a scheme - often it's not even an offical scheme, you just work and do your exams.

Thinking back to people I was studying with in BPP... MOD, NHS, building firms, car manufacturers, cosmetics, housing, IT, defence... all sorts.
