Cities: Skylines

question guys, after your idea here. I really want to come off this freeway and make use of all this wonderful land for agriculture. What would be the best road type to come off this freeway? Do i join it up to my centre section, because I fear all the trucks will go through my residential areas in midtown making traffic a nightmare. Here's the area.

I had this for quite a while, and found a water tower buried in the middle of my industrial zone which was pumping polluted water into the water system for the whole of the city, I almost went bankrupt installing so many hospitals and crematoriums

Hehe I've got this problem too, the penny has just dropped, thanks :)

Really enjoying playing this, although my first attempt the 70k city got wiped out with the river flooding that i couldn't seem to stop, so this is my second attempt :)

I've noticed if I give all my residential areas too much then my industrial complains about not having enough workers as all my residents are educated and realised factory life isn't for them :p

This is actually really annoying. I'd avoided industry but decided to chuck in a large industrial area, but nobody is interested as I have a decent education system. I mean surely they'd like people to be educated a little....

Damn, logical, yet simple explanation. Will give this a try. Thanks bud.

How come?

On another note, this game is getting more and more addictive.

In some ways I cant help but compare it to SimCity, it plays a little similarly? I dunno perhaps I haven't played SimCity for awhile.

Increase your industry to lvl 3 and they will take the educated workers.

Just use a grid system, think of American cities. up one way, next street along one way the other way with one way crossroads sections, up and down only ever in one direction. My grid is behaving lovely.

Thanks, hadn't even thought to try to level up my industry. However when I decided to take a look at this I found that specialised industry (which is pretty much all of mine) is max level by default. They do take educated workers but still want quite a chunk of non educated.

I'd managed to get enough workers but didn't like my poor education system so started building more schools again, now my industry is collapsing again, even with 14% uneducated.

I think I might bulldoze it all and just put nice clean offices everywhere...

just realized I've spent 2 hours rebuilding the roundabout and approaches to my industrial zone and i'm still not happy

scarily addictive
