Cities: Skylines

I agree [TFU] Thegoon84, Twentyone, and Ayahuasca.

Despite these, I still think it is a fantastic game and a much better game than SimCity.

I will say though, in regards to the easy comment, have you played it with the hard mod enabled? (it comes as part of the base game)

Considering the size of the Development team and the massive sales they made I can see this one getting a ton of updates considering who their Publishers are :D

I think this place is going places and I think we will see more updates soon with more depth and complexity.

I for one cant wait :D

Yup... Agreed! That and the community modders are putting some great stuff out there!

Very good game but still beta tested by monkeys

No mouse lock, mouse2 could have way more functions (e.g. get back to default view).. sometimes I feel like resting my keyboard hand, k? And parks/commercial demand bug.. wow - If EA released a game with that bug left in they would get slaughtered.

Aside from that it's nice though

A bit harsh methinks. They are hardly game breaking bugs. EA shipped a product that you couldn't play at all due to their server issues, that's why they got slaughtered. Far worse than a park demand bug.

Just watching a stream now and the boats are sailing over land, through power lines and through pillars on bridges.

It's not game breaking stuff but along with the above issues posted in that thread about people teleporting to their home and jobs and cars disappearing it takes away from the experience a bit.

I guess it's stuff you have to look for to notice but it's not really a city simulator if people can just teleport and disappear or drive through things you shouldn't be able to.

There seems to be a lot of people being overly harsh on this game.

Show me a game that's released nowadays that doesn't have bugs?

GTA V, the most money ever spent making a game....still has bugs.

The bugs people are picking up on, are small and can easily be fixed, especially with the Steam Workshop. There is already mods available for camera issues (like being able to use right-click to move the camera).

I'm not understanding the mild ragging on the game in the last few posts... to me this looks like a damn fine effort by a relatively small studio and I'd be shocked if they don't continue to work with the community to fix all the minor bugs in the game and develop all the features people want to see (and any they don't get around to will certainly be picked up by modders)...

Also very pleased to see them opening the whole thing to modders from the get-go and letting people release buildings etc. on the workshop for free - instead of spamming us all with 1,000 little bits of DLC... imagine how bad it could be:

"Welcome to the City:Skylines store, new police station skin only 59p... or buy the emergency services pack for £3.99... coming soon the natural disasters pack only another £3.99" etc. etc.

Was the boat issue on a standard map, I've seen a video of it going through land before and figured it was a custom map and somebody had screwed up (intentionally?) the route it takes. Not that I've made a custom map but assumed that's how it works.

I was okay with their explanation for teleporting workers, essentially its not possible to simulate that many people travelling around without our PCs exploding, I don't think it ruins the gaming experience if you don't look too closely, its necessary to fudge something like this and I prefer it to the way they did things with Sim City.

It's paradox, there will be patches/updates probably for the next few years. A few bugs is nothing to worry about at this stage they will be sorted out quickly.

Made another new city now im getting not enough educated workers :(, also is there a decent way to lay out streets for housing that will make my fire department and police cover more area I always seem to get dead zones for some reason

I thought Destiny was the most expensive video game?
