Superb, just got back into Civ (strangely after playing the 360 version and getting used to it again), i loved colonisation.
I love Civ 4 but this game looks like just another mod to me.
City screen looks ''interesting'', certainly not like in Civilization 4.
Also maps look good, really looking forward to it.
I like the upgraded graphics too, I hope it also upgrades the stock civ4 graphics a bit.
In all honesty though, this is a mod for Civ4 just like all the mods in BTS, just a bit more advanced...
It's still Civilization IV : colonization, NOT colonization 2...
Still looking forward to this, I loved the scenario ''age of discovery'' in civilization 3: Conquests...
I have not played the original colonization, I have played the original civ though.
Its not a mod in any sense that Colonization was a mod of Civilization, unless they have done away with the war for independence..?
They just happened to stick to the Civ IV engine because A its not that bad and B civ fans like you who never played the original could be more inclined to pick it up.
The game plays very different yet similar to Civ.
I also hope the Civ IV gets this graphic update!![]()
Reason why it doesnt look like col is cos col was top down view not civ view like we get in civ 4. Which actually id prefer the top down myself for a new col game. No need for 3d in these games.
ahh dissapointed!
I wanted Alpha Centauri 2!
AC though, was basically civ in a different universe, i could never really take to it. Colonisation was a nice departure from civ universe, we know they are great at updating franchises, unlike most software houses, so i really look forward to revisiting colonisation.
OMG OMG OMG!! I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS FOR 14 YEARS!!
I was one of the people that emailed them every year asking if they were ever going to make a sequal. This is all my gaming dreams come true.. they better not **** it up!
There will be a limit of 300 turns in this new game so you cant go on forever like in civ.
