Ah, I because you said cutting down trees was ruining the carbon cycle, which I took exception to because trees dying is a normal part of the cycle. But I see what you were getting at now.

Yeah i know its part of the cycle, but its the accelerated removal thats the problem.

However old trees dont really soak up much Co2 do they? Younger, growing trees soak it all up to grow, so maybe, chop the old down and plant new forests? hmmm maybe not

That's correct, yes. The thing is, cutting down older trees to plant new ones would lower CO2.. as long as the old ones are being used in industry or something rather than being burnt for fuel. If they're being burnt for fuel, it's pretty much carbon neutral, as long as new trees are planted.

I only flicked through it, but essentially his point is that when a child looses an argument they resort to insults such as calling you "poo poo head" and this is exactly what these "campaigners" have done.

They've got dressed up and tipped poo on his lawn.

They know their loosing.

You'll get older and realise this as the VAST majority of left winger or righteous do gooders does. The irony of protests like this is they think they are more righteous when in fact they are simply a different opinion delivered in a way that fits with their perceived importance or ‘stance’ on the world. There are thousands of protestors thinking they are different and standing up for mankind when all they are doing is filling in before proper work or shacking up with a rich hubby form the city. The hippies from the 60's run the world today, les't you forget...
