Clarkson's Farm

clarkson proper getting screwed by the council.
Haven't watched the latest season yet but from local facebook groups etc I think it's also the locals with a massive divide between support and opposition. Eg they objected to his making a larger carpark and the application was rejected iirc and are complaining that now the farmshop is opening up again there will be a return to cars parked on verges etc.

I'm nearly done, episode 7 now brilliant show and really eye opening at how ridiculous government/council bureaucracy works or doesn't work in reality.

It's no wonder farmers are calling it quits on a daily basis, I know of several who are done, with one person close to family selling up his land to developers because farming is just not profitable anymore, and another using his land and properties for holiday lets.

Man you lot need to space these out a bit, even if you have the time to binge watch 7, surely space them out a bit to savour them, no?

Maybe I'm just jealous - I only watched the first one yesterday.

I agree, it's a real eye opener. I just finished episode 3. Great so far.

Remember that editing tells the narrative they want you to hear.

The planning permission being denied is a matter of public record. The show seems to have left out some key details.

just finished it absolutely brilliant hope there is a season 3
there is a season 3 filming as either it just begone or has finish and in post production phase, as that was part of the reason it wasn't canned. as both season 2 and 3 where on the chopping block after clarksons article but where spare due to what was invested in them so far. but everything is looking at this point as season 3 being the last, unless amazon change there minds.

Amazon haven't announced anything with regards to season 3 being the last. They will be keeping it on the down low until season 3 is released and then likely renew, as the show is and has been a massive success for them, and Clarkson and Kayleb work really well togeather. I would go as far as say its an educational program and I hope those in local councils and government also watch and see the error of their ways.

As I said previous, I come from a farming background, our whole family has a history of it, I know plenty of farmers that are all in the same boat, and they are all struggling financially, with many just giving up even after running the farm for generations. I know one farmer close to the family who has had his farm near Bath for 7 generations has now been forced to sell off his land, partly because he cannot afford to keep it running and also because his children didn't want to be farmers, even though it had been in the family for near on 200 years.
