Hi Guys,

I have the following bits:

Asus P5K Mobo
Q6600 Processor Go Stepping
Gcube X1950Pro Card
4GB OCZ 800Mhz Ram
Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro

So far the system has been clocked as follows:

CPU Ratio: 9
FSB Strap to north: 333Mhz
FSB Freq: 356
PCIE: 100
Dram Freq: DDR2-854Mhz
Dram Command Rate: Auto
Dram Timing Control: Manual
5-5-5-5-15
Ras to ras: Auto
Row Refresh: Auto
Write Recovery: Auto
Write to read: Auto
Read to Precharge Time: Auto
Dram Static Read: Auto

Transaction Booster: Disabled
Clock Over-Charging Mode: Auto
CPU Spread Spectrum: Disabled
PCIE Spread Spectrum: Disabled

CPU Voltage: 1.4000V
CPU Voltage Ref: Auto
CPU Voltage Dampner: Disabled
CPU PLL Voltage: Auto
Dram Voltage: 2.2v
FSB Termination Voltage: Auto
North Bridge Voltage: Auto
North Bridge Voltage Ref: Auto

Advance.....
Cpu Ratio Control: 9
C1E Support: Disabled
Cpu TM Function: Disabled
Vanderpool Tech: Disabled
Ececute disable bit: Enabled
Max CPUID Value Limit: Disabled

Its running now at 3204Mhz.

Can it go higher, what do I need to change, increase or lower to get the maximum speed and performance wise.

Regards.

It's kind of a volunteer-run thing this - the shop guys only appear top sell stuff really, so if no-one fancies your question, it goes unanswered.

I haven't seen a G0 that won't do 3.6GHz yet, but you'll need to be brave on the CPU voltage - try 1.5V and turn on the CPU Voltage Dampner as that will control the Vdroop to some extent.

I'd take the RAM divider back so it's running at just over 700MHz where you are now, and go for 380FSB. If that's stable then go to 400FSB and test for stability.

You will almost certainly need to play with the Northbridge voltage to get 400MHz.

Remember that AUTO doesn't mean stock, it means the board will do what it can to get stable, based on settings it has in the BIOS.

How did it crash?

Did it just die - black screen? (usually CPU volts needed)
Did it bluescreen? (usually N/B or S/B volts needed)
Did something else happen?

Also -what were your temperatures?

Afternoon,

I've had to change a few settings to get a stable test using OCCT, find below a few screen shots of my bios.

I've also reseated my CPU and used less Arctic Silver (as per instructions) amd my temps are:

Idle: 30-32 deg
Load: 50-52 deg
