Just making this thread so that people can get some advice on clothes they're eyeing up before they actually buy them to make sure they aren't hideous/out of fashion etc. Hopefully it's useful.

I'll start:

Just looking for what you think of these couple of things (hopefully I'm allowed to link the website, I can't see them being competitors)

Adidas Originals Tapered Chino

I've got a load of jeans so fancied something different, not sure if Chinos are out of fashion these days though (I see less and less wearing them) or if I'd look an idiot wearing blue ones?

River Island LW Design Hoody

Jury's still out - opinions?

Why do you give a ****?

Wear what you damn want XD

If you really care then post in Richdog's fashion thread instead of making a new one :)

The chinos are so so. I'd shop around for something similar but cheaper.

Like the hoody, albeit I think it's more a winter thing that I'd put by for late November - early January. The patterns seem a little Christmasy to me you see....

It's a fashion thing, the expensive designer labels have been pushing them all year.

Chinos and river island, I take it you're a regular at the bummers club?

You could get similar clothes at asda/ tescos for a fraction of the cost.
Then put the money you saved into a suit fund to go to a tailors and get an awesome suit made up.

My clothes advice:

Never buy in the middle of the season! I got a new coat for Christmas for £110, by New Year it was on sale for £40 :S

Apart from that buy what you like and enjoy wearing - comfort is my main priority

So people who wear chinos and shop at River Island are "bummers"? :/

And no, you cannot get similar clothes at Asda/Tesco for the quality and fit. Out of curiosity have you tried shopping for clothes besides a supermarket? It is entirely your decision but i was wondering whether you had something to compare it to rather than instantly dismissing things. :)

And to the OP, the hoodie isn't very nice at all and Adidas chinos is also a no go for reasons stated above (not known for their chino quality, ASOS OB has exactly the same thing but cheaper, buying just for the label on this particular item).

I have chinos and a River Island hoodie, I am now a bummer :o

I should buy my clothes from Asda and Tesco instead, much more fashionable.
