Cloverfield, just watched it..

I really enjoyed it, felt incredibly tense all the way through. Created a really believeable atmosphere (especially the tunnel scene). The one downside was the slightly annoying characters.

Hmmm, is that why the director has been quoted all over the net when I search for "cloverfield baby" saying the one and only monster was itself a baby.
Meaning still only one?

Thought it was a good film. As someone has also stated, if it was on at the Cinema again Id pay to watch it again. Although Id give the huge Nandos meal before it a miss.

Also for anyone who already has it on DVD, towards the end of the movie when the film flips to Robs recording of him and Beth on the Fairground wheel, look carefully at the sea behind Beth and you'll see the monster drop from the sky into the sea.

its the satellite which disturbed the creature so far underneath the sea, also cloverfield its called because after wars, leafed clovers grow everywhere. the satellite was dropped by a japanese company called slusho, the same company which the guy at the party is going to work for... also if you look carefully at the start of the film one of the guys is wearing a slusho tshirt.

I'm not saying I know either way (And of course it would have to have a family somewhere) but there's no real indication that I saw in the film of there being more than one monster.

Then they've put that meaning on it at a later date, because that's not where the original title Cloverfield comes from.

Cloverfield was once just the code name for the film and is named after the street upon which the production company, Bad Robot Productions, is located.

I agree.

I sometimes wonder what people are actually looking for from their films. The critisicm some films get because they're not 'OMG best film ever!!!' does at times get a bit ridiculous.

Well I just watched it and I really enjoyed it! I thought it was really tense the whole way through and I was also watching Turkey v Czech Republic at the same time.. what drama!

Ending was a bit odd?
