Coca Cola

Your statements are so riddled with rubbish I can't help but laugh at your stupidity. The official figures for people with a drink problem is 1 in 10. That's a pretty big number of people in the UK. Some may say alcohol decimates the adult population. I would argue that its more like 1 in 5 people, and the older people get, the higher the proportion rises.

You haven't got a clue what you are talking about quite frankly so to label me as you have is further sign of your ignorance. Maybe your brain is rotting?

I've got 10 drink problems. Problem being, I don't have 10 to drink. :D

He's right about how alcohol is made, though. It's just a bit different to being a 'product of rotting plant matter'. :p

I drink copious amounts of pepsi max/coke zero. Of course I want to kick the habit and maybe replace it with San Pellegrino or something and only drink that when I'm craving.

Please feel free to dispute my statements, one after the other, instead of just making a sweeping blanket "YOU'RE WRONG LOL, I'M SUPERIOR BECAUSE I DON'T DRINK" statement.

Because frankly you just came off looking like a pompous arse who doesn't know what he's talking about.

The process of alcohol production is indisputable, I brew and I'm extremely up on the chemistry, don't even try to go up against me on that one because you will lose. You apparently have no idea how alcohol is produced.

Additionally, if the same amount of people used heroin that drank, we'd have a ****load more deaths on our hands. Often that figure of 40x the death with alcohol is thrown about, but when you think about how many people drink, it's really not suprising.

Less people have motorcycle accidents than car accidents, it's simply because less people ride motorcycles even if they are the more dangerous form of transport. Your logic would dictate motorcycles are safer given those figures.

Additionally, what the government guidelines state and what you would argue don't amount to actual drinking problems, government guidelines don't make you an alcholic, just a heavy drinker. And that isn't a problem in itself, it's simply bad for ones health.

I would argue your brain is rotting from nonsense tory propaganda and religious vomit, I would seriously advise you keep your misguided views to yourself in future, you're entitled to an opinion provided you don't shove it in peoples faces like you're somehow superior.

WTH, a 5 page thread about Coke? What's the problem?

Coke has been around for 140 years and only in the last 20 has obesity/diabetes become an issue so let's blame it on soft drinks eh?

March on the monsters castle an stab him with your pitchfork Arrrgh ...

Subtly different != clinically significant.

Fruit has significant glucose and fructose in it, so it's a moot point anyway.

Yes... and I'm saying that the way your body reacts to each type is different!

Plus the added benefits that fruits have over artificial drinks ;)

Does Coca Cola dictate the size of the cups on sale at a cinema? I'm assuming so given that he was having a go at him for that.

Would I have to be left with health issues that were currently visible for you to see why it's not a good idea? There's no reason for any parent to give coke at home in the house.

If they gave me 5 marlboro per day from 5 years old but currently had no health issues then that would be ok too, after all no harm was done.

I prefer to think more carefully about what I put inside my sons stomach while I have 'control' over it. Too many people just give their kids things to shut them up.

Oh don't disagree, you obviously do it for the health of your kids so no judgment from me. Although odd small glass of coke/chocolate as a treat vs 5 a day is a daft analogy :D

The bit about giving kids treats to shut them up, yes I've seen obese kids who's parents do this and its pretty much child cruelty in some extreme cases.
