COD: Black Ops III

You'll get there, I was the same on my first few games on COD when moving over to pc. It comes over time. I blame CS:GO players that are like super good..
It just feels like a total reaction-time thing. I'm dead before I have a chance to retaliate. Granted, I've been playing Battlefield for the last few years, but you'd think if my shooting skills were that bad, I'd have done horribly there too, but I haven't.

The jumping around does get me, though. Like, I often get the headstart on shooting somebody but they're jumping around and I just cant hit them. Then they easily just lay me out within a second or two.

I'm awful at this. Just plain miserable.

I am in the same position as you. I was used to coming first every game in a four hour session on console. Now I'm barely getting 1:1 like you. We will get there!

Though I was useless in BF

It's taken me a few games to get back to it after playing battlefield so you aren't alone!

Currently on 0.94 Kd
Been playing tdm and trying to get used to the xbox pad.

Now at 0.74 KD, what a bad night...it started off quite promising but?
I probably should have turned it off ages ago as I started getting wound up.

Keep on changing between kb/mouse and xbox controller, can't seem to get the hang of either.

I tried the game without the i5 config.ini and it was almost impossible to exit from the menu again.

Made the single character change in the .ini and it's been great since.

i5 3570K
8GB RAM
980TI 6GB VRAM
SSD
Win10

3440x1440 all settings max.

All the inside scenes run at a constant 60 fps with the odd drop here and there when some data gets loaded. (fps bottom graph)

I can get the fps to drop in outside scenes but mostly it's the cut scenes where it appears to lock at either 24 fps or 40 fps then jumps back to 60 fps while playing. (fps bottom graph)

Also nice to see a game finally use all my VRAM for caching and so I know it's working :)

was suffering stuttering like crazy, my ram was going upto 15gb in game used and frame drop slike hell, gpu usage going from 80% to 0% and back up. thought i would try my win 8.1 partition instead of win 10. all running perfect, game uses max 7gb ram now and silky smooth everything on ultra.

very strange indeed

I;'m getting the exact same as you. My 980's are maxing out the VRAM regardless of settings, even on low. Last campaign mission I played ran up to 25GB of system RAM.
