Normally the codes arrive a day or two before the beta starts to give enough people time to download it.

The Bad Company beta certainly worked this way. I don't know about COD4 as it had already started about a week before I got a code.

Apparently the codes for pre-ordering will give you access to http://firsttofight.callofduty.com which is where you get your actual beta code.

I don't like the sound of that, kinda says that there is a chance you may not actually get a beta code if you don't do this in time.

Apparently there were loads of codes going around for the COD4 beta, so if we don't get it through pre-ordering (which I am sure we will) I expect people who want to play will be able to get one through other channels.

i couldnt pre order with my debit card so i gotta hope and prey i get one from cod.com or eurogamer

So I got my code, which gave me a theme, whoopdy doo!!
Then i was told I have to register with COD.com, which i did, but nothing since!
I hope they will now send out beta codes

I don't expect that till next week, there's a post on the forums saying beta is planned to start early next week so I doubt we'll see codes till then.
