As I'm generous while i'm dl the beta I will let you all look at the pdf instruction manual

I've preordered the game, done that french thing and been signed up on cod.com and I have nothing eitherI'm really annoyed as I'm desperate to try this out!
Apparently looking at the cod forum, when you sign up it does an auto check of your gamer profile. If it detects you have played Halo3 for more than half hour it automatically throws up the halo fan girl firewall and your barred.
Instead they send you a code to watch a video of toy story 2.

Right, sorted that out.
Had to create a new account then link the 2. Now i have my points from charlie oscar delta. There sign up system is stupid as when you put your address in you have to put a US address in even though you signed up as U.K.
EDIT - Right, i'm a V.I.P, so i should be getting the beta in the next batch hopefully! Woo, who's up for some games?

Does the password on COD.com need to have any special characters? I am trying to remember my charlieoscardelta.com password but my usual one isn't working, wondered if it needed capitals/numbers in it.
I have also tried creating a new account on COD.com but it gets stuck on the 2nd step. THis is so bloody annoying.

My first impression are good. The maps are ace and the weapons are pretty much ports of COD4.
The guys who have obviously been part of the private beta are absolutely thrashing the rest of us but that may be down to the fact they have all the perks and weapon challenges.
For those of you worried about lack of red dot there is a replacement on rifles but only rifles.
Each weapon type has its own set of attachments and some of which are vastly different to COD4.
As Danny said, the noob tube is still there unfortunately and it looks like the accuracy is higher but the range is reduced. Hopefully they will have learnt from their mistakes on COD4 S&D and made it really hard to noob tube from the start but lets wait and see.

Initial impressions are not good maps are very messy and seem to encourage camping as it's very hard to spot anyone until they move. Weapons seem underpowered unless you have stopping power (shotgun to the chest/face is not a one shot kill at close range so is useless given the reload time). Voices and sound are pretty pap as well. Overall it doesn't gel together well and seems like a big backwards step to me which they have tried to cover up by using perks (which seem to be mostly those from COD4).

Right, what i did was at the second step put an american address in like Beverly Hills 90210 and do the phone number like this "555-473-3625" in that format and then it shoulod go through fine. On the first step though keep it on U.K.
Once you have done that and you get the email, verify it then go to your profile and put your proper address in.
Now, to link the accounts you need to go to the "Intel" tab and click on the news article names "CoD:WW Friends and Family Xbox 360 Multiplayer BETA is LIVE!", when your in there there should be a link that says "transfer your account!".
Click on that and put your new account name and password AND your old account name and password that was used on charlie oscar delta. It should work now and transfer your points etc and give you V.I.P. status.
Sadly there are rooms full of yanks already at top rank due to playing it all night. So your trying to find your way around the maps and they are hitting you with better weapons.
Might be a good idea to host a friendly ocuk room.
It has some nice features, like your lobby party all show as blue on the map and above your name in game. Madfruit will be even easier to team kill.
Grenade launcher, still there and it's worse. People are using that too much. Its too fast.
Halo jumping. Try it in this game it's too effective. In cod 4 people did it but the fire rate was so high it's hit and miss. In this the fire rate even on machine guns is so low, as is ammunition you would be a fool not to Halo jump. It works too well. Run a clip down and just jump. They find it very hard to target you, so you have a map of WW2 soilders jumping up and down in rooms.
I like the maps but as I said to the guys playing, they may as well have released a cod4 disc with these maps and left it in modern day.
The artillery is annoying as hell, even when your team is using it, The dogs are too. Are they our dogs? It's hard to tell. Plus you kill one another gets you. You might as well let it kill you and hold off respawning. Crap beyond belief.
Too often your left blinded or dazed and it takes an age to clear.
I like it but I cannot really see it taking the place of COD4.
