does anyone else agree? ive been playing on more hardcore servers recently and i find them much more fun. much more realistic in terms of not having all sorts on the hud. i find "normal mode" is just to cluttered and ugly ... especially with that big bar along the bottom. im now playing team deathmatch and search n destroy in hardcore mode and im loving it. i prefer servers with less players say 10-20 or so.

who else is with me ?

who ever agrees gets a cookie :)

i'd like a compramise between hardcore and normal mode eg:

removing crosshair's / hud's etc, but introducing a proper realism mode.

In normal mode 2 shots with an AK in the feet will kill someone but it also takes 2 shots in the head to kill someone - that's not really 'fair', but hardcore is like 1/2 bullets anywhere with any gun

in response to that:

i prefer having no crosshair especially since you can use the iron sites. thats what call of duty is all about.

HC is great, i hated it at first but much prefer it now :)

i never tried it at first...infact i didnt know it existed. i wasnt used to the game and calling for helicopters and etc.

like you i am now loving hc. wish it was in cod2/cod1 (is it ? cant remember)

Ive never played any other cod game so dunno if hardcore is in them, i was more into the battlefield franchise until cod4 was released :D

As sad as it is since playing it with friends i like it a lot more, even though it think its still luck based gaming.
If i see you first regardless of the situation or gun, your dead, that and the fact the grenade spam makes it pretty much impossible to walk anywhere.

i wander if there is a way to turn off nades ... never created a server or anything with cod4 before.

i remember when cod2 was a nade fest in mp but then they changed it so nades only travel a somewhat realistic distance rather than been blasted through the air over rooftops.
