COD4 MP Live arranging thread

This is ******* ****. I can't play you guys online because my rank is too low. Everytime I try to join one of your games I get...


"the host's playlist data is newer than yours, to refresh the data either log into XBOX live again or restart the game"

Searching xbox forums I found this as the reason...

"You will get that error if you are a lower level and the playlist that was chosen is one you have not unlocked yet. Lets say your a 6 in the game and your friend is a 18 (you have to get to 18 to unlock every gametype playlist) if he/she is in one of those that you have not unlocked yet then you will get that message."

Apparently it's going to be patched to fix the countless errors people seem to be getting. Can't be bothered to keep trying now.

Will do. I'm searching the official site and getting a variety of reasons and fixes like...

"No it seems only the Host can send out the invites. Anybody else in the part sends an invite then the recipient gets the error and has to re log in to Live.

So only let the host of the party invite."

"I know of a few people who have had this problem, try uploading the leaderboards and then try to rejoin. Seemed to work for some. I had the issue the first time I tried to play, although after 10 minutes of SP I could join fine."

"It seems if you try to join a game through your friends list or an invite from the main menu it will give you this error about the older playlist. What you need to do is go into the multiplayer>xboxlive menu, and from there you should be able to join your pals through the friends list or invite successfully."

Yeah I've sourced the issue. You have to have booted up COD and selected Multiplayer. After that you can then join friends lobbies or accept invites without getting that error.

Its supposed to be on the list for the patch.

Thanks for the games Soulja, love it. Will be on again in an hour or so.
 
Cheers for the invite wyrdo, I was mid game though so had to pass.
Found my new favourite gametype, has to be headquarters at the moment :)
