Codemasters F1 2010 X360/PS3 (contains important question about 2011 game!!!)

Right, I have until next week some time before I start my new job so what can I do? Walk the dogs? It's raining... Clean the motorbike and cars? It's raining... Start stripping the kitchen in prep for new one next month? Too soon... Organise all paper work? Not enough folders....

F1 2010? No reason why not.

Do what I did with this and forza, spend a bunch of time in Time Trial with all assists off, few laps, then turn off ABS, few laps, see how you feel, then TCS... see how you feel. I turned TCS back on due to not knowing braking/acceleration points yet, just mess around and find what you feel comfortable with, then jump on a rancom track you never raced on and repeat until you find a happy medium.

I am playin with AI difficulty of Intermediate (medium), and am just managing to come in the top 15 each session. Which for my team is great so I feel that it is the right setting for me. When things get easier/I get used to the game, I will bump that difficulty setting up like I did in forza.

edit: the only way to compare forza to this is by the assists, nothing else lol.

This. I think too many people just want to win races which isn't the point of the first season.

I found with I won the race comfortably on one setting, so I've dialled it up until I'm coming 10th - 20th and having to actually fight for every position.

Had a really gutting race last night where I was sixth, only to spin on the last lap. Kept the result though, otherwise what's the point in having a season.

The first race I did I cam first! I was so bored lol, I started the career again and upped the difficulty, so much more rewarding when like you say, you are fighting for a postion mid field! It is funny how just like in RL the 'faster' teams pull away into a group of their own... Not so funny when you are giving it the beans for 15'th and you hear "Blue flag condition, let the faster driver past!"... Puts you down

I completely agree. With all assists off and the AI on medium, I can come 16th max in the Lotus, so I believe I am at the right setting for now.

is there a wheel that can be used on both PS3 and xbox?

no way am I going to buy 2 and with forza and GT5 I'd like to be able to just switch consoles...

Just had a call from home...my wheelstand pro and F1 game have arrived

...now just looking at the clock and hoping 3pm comes around quickly so i can get out of here and get home to play some F1 racing

Think your probably looking at the fanatec wheels but they are pretty damn expensive though.

For me I want the biggest challenge from the game it can offer.
Will be going straight into all aids off and hardest difficulty, learn the hard way...

Will do some TTs for practice to get used to the game but I rather do it this way and eventually get the hang of it than play it on an easy setting and not have to work too hard for results.

Can someone create a new TT thread for this weekends race and we could perhaps enjoy the remaining races of the season playing those upcoming tracks.

Ordered on Sat...delivered today...so about a week. Comes from poland so dont have to worry about being hit with customs charges...delivered by parcelforce from what my mum told me earlier today.

i agree after all in f1 its not just the driver its the car as well , if say you have a slow car you should not be winning but fighting it out with the cars around you.

when i get this i may try medium with assists off , whats it like with assists off? , is it easy to spin the car out?

Very. Problem is for me, I find it way to easy with traction on medium.
