I'm not holding out much hope either. Generals was an absolute disgrace to the RTS genre, I doubt this'll be any better.

i think they might have learned from there mistakes with generals, cos the mission pack for it was a step in the right direction (not saying it was good but a step in the right direction) so it gives me hope that this game will be great.

I hope it gets a bigger multiplayer following than the previous C&C games. RA2 was about the only one with viable online play and the competition on there is apalling.

As long as it's not like generals it's a good thing. Can't get on the link from work. How many of the people from the original C&C are working on this one? Other wise it will be another EA steal the name and do a crap game effort. Sim's 30583 anyone?

I'm pretty sure nearly all of Westwoods employees left when EA bought the name.

im both excited yet dissapointed, i own all the original cnc games, including generals, which was ok but nothing like the previous games, it also ran like a piece of crap

i hope that this will actually be really good, atleast its using original cnc names and stuff but it still wont be anything like westwood made

I would be unhappy about it being the SAGE engine, same old same old, but considering i bought a 360 and dont want to upgrade my pc for some time, im rather happy

IMO, the SAGE engine is quite powerful - it's not totally resource hungry, and can still look quite pretty (The LOTR strategy games used this engine, I believe?)
