Command & Conquer 3 Demo, Next Week!

Those system specs look pretty decent for a new game. I'm guessing my system will have no problem running it then.

Antec 900
Asus A8N-SLi
Athlon64 3200+ 'Venice' @2.4GHz
2GB PC3200
7900GS 512MB (500/1400)
Creative Audigy SE

Quallity :) I do love a bit of CnC. Got a tonne of RTS's to play when I get my new rig, will finally be able to go through all the games I've missed cause of stupid intergrated laptop graphics.

yeah am on integrated gfx with 256mb pc2100 ram and a celly northwood 2.6ghz lol. can't wait for this though, my new rig should be coming anyday now :(.

In all fairness, C&C has never been about having the best graphics in the world, TS/RA2/Renegade weren't that amazing looking when they launched.

It was all about the gameplay (although Renegade was a little drab). :)

*fingers crossed they haven't ruined it, like generals
I am a die hard C&C fan and really don't see what peoples problem with generals is. It's a quality game imo, granted it didn't carry on the classic nod/gdi storyline but i can live with that knowing one was on the horizon!

i agree as a game in its own right generals was a very good game
EA shouldnt have added C&C to the title

Heheh, fairing slightly better here with a 3.06ghz P4 Northwood laptop (in a laptop, yes yes) 512 PC2700, and a Radeon 9000. Plays Trackmania suitably on "Nice" settings in 1024x768 of course without AA etc.

Get my C2D setup tommorow though :)

It's not so much it being a poor game (it's decidedly average) but the fact that EA took a random RTS game and tacked the C&C name onto it for extra sales, deflating the brand name in the process.

I enjoyed Generals and ZH, however I did not like the departure from GDI/NOD.... thats what made CC what it is.

Can't wait for this! :D
So Red Alert isnt C&C cause theres no GDI and NOD?

Before anyone says I know Kane is in Red Alert so they was once linked.

Slightly bad news;

"Demo Update
Predator has managed to dash all of our hopes of a Demo Release for next week...

Quote
The date is not official. We will be releasing this demo in conjunction with FilePlanet as we did with BFME2, but they put the cart before the horse.

We will announce the date when ready and that is hopeful for later this week.

Thanks,
Predator

Find his post here

If you reserve the C&C3 Demo on Fileplanet (you can do that here ) you will see that the date for the Demo is Monday the 26th of February.

I have a feeling this will coincide with the relaunch of the Official C&C3 Site, but that is just a hunch.

If Predator confirms any of this information I will let you know ASAP!

For The Brotherhood!"

God you must have a big willy - Why post this when you know it will be fine.

Because normally system reqs that are posted are nearly always way under what is really needed to run the game, take FSX for instance. Thanks by the way, I do have a big willy!

Can't wait for this demo. I loved the originals, but haven't played any of the newer games of the series.

Will be interesting to see how it has progressed.
