I love how if you use more than a couple of Tiberium trucks they still get jammed at the refinery, just like in the previous c&c games.

Yes cos having 2 trucks in the one space makes sense....

i found adding loads of silos and a few extra refineries solves the harvester getting stuck problem.

oh and i just went into the GDI base playing as NOD with 5 AWs stealthed + beam weapon, the place didnt last long.

cant wait to see what the Scrin can do :)

Why do they have squads now anyways?

I say bring back the 1 unit infantry. I like commanding one at a time sometimes.

i prefer that too, in a fast paced game like c&c it works better like that imo

I am liking this demo. True C&C is back! Only thing is the music is a bit boring :( They really should have just remixed some of the previous great C&C songs from 'Sun and 'Dawn.

I used to be a big C&C fan but I personaly dont think there is much more on offer in this game apart from very nice graphics.

If I remember right WestWood Studios moto was (maybe still is) "if its not broke, dont fix it" I think thats all well and good but they really need to improve things more gameplay wise.

I just feel boxed in and to close to the map and confined after playing the demo, I guess after playing (and loving) Supreme Commander for its massive maps and ability to zoom in or out how far I like does'nt help much either.

Also there did'nt feel like much tactics involved just seemed very boring and mundane clicking with very nice visual's.

I dont think its much if any an improvement over C&C General's and I still feel that Red Alert 2 was/is the best.

Ok for those playing the demo what system you got and how does it run ?

AMD64 Socket 754 E6 rev 3000+ running at 270*10
1GB RAM, 2.5-3-3-6-1T at 225mhz
DFI UT250GB mobo
6800GT at stock speeds
Audigy 1

Most stuff turned right up, 1024x768 res, no AA. No lag, no slideshow. Just smoooooooooth :) Going to try bumping the resolution up later.

Conroe Dual Core E6400, 1 gig PC6400 Corsair, onboard sound, onboard LAN, XFX 7600GT.......All settings to 'maximum' barring AA which is on the 2nd or 3rd highest mark (just haven't tried it yet :D)......1280x1024.

Runs great! No lag that I've noticed!

Specs in sig.

1280x1024 full detail, full AA.

Solid 30fps, all the time. No lag, nothing.

Well, they certainly have gone back to their roots here. This game is brilliant, and for once, it runs really well on my system, even on full settings, 1280x1024. There wasnt much, if any slowdown. It kinda brings back memories of playing the first C&C for the first time and loving it. I think the superweapons are equally powered as well. and the nuke isnt over powered at last :p i will probably get this on release. well done EA for once.

Edit: Mind you, the tiberium vapour cloud bomb is awesome
