Command + Conquer 3 screens

BF2 was made by Dice though wasnt it. Ea made the scoring system and control when the patches/booster packs are released I think.

The Sims are by Maxis aren't they?
Maxis is an EA owned studio. Even if you hate the Sims they are also making Spore which everyone seems excited about.

Someone help me out here! :D

On second thoughts, they are just a publishing company though ?
They have many game studios, although they publish a lot of games that aren't made in one of their studios. Sometime people find it difficult to understand the difference. Some people were up in arms about EA publishing boxed copies of HL2 episodes. But they don't realise EA are only responsible for printing the discs and boxes and getting it out to shops. They have no part in making the game itself.

i hope they don't mess this one up

Red Alert 2 is 10 times better than Generals, i've bought them all from C&C 1 upwards, Tiberian Sun was a big waste, and Generals is just crap

i still play red alert 2, just wish you could disable super weapons selectively, haivng just chronosphere and iron curtain would be awesome :)

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars info - briefly

The chaps over at PlanetCNC have posted new Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars information from EA's July C&C 3 Podcast. Here is some of the info:
Silos are IN, and you can steal enemy money out of them.
80% of the world's population lives in Yellow Zones
Zone Troopers (possibly among other infantry units) aren't vulnerable to Tiberium fields, but others are.
Red Zones have a lot of Tiberium, so expect higher-money battles with faster powering-up.
Even totally farmed-out fields of Tiberium will eventually grow back, but you can't just expect to nurse your "starter" field through a whole match. Tiberium harvesting is faster in the begining of the match when there's a lot of it on the map.
Nod plays the "good guys" (sorta) in the Yellow Zones, where they bring food etc. to the neglected poor folk who live there. Champions of the oppressed and all that, yadda yadda.
EA is trying to make C&C3 a "fast-paced" game
Multiple refineries and harvesters are absolutely back in, and GDI has "familiar tactics still available".
Fan feedback (that's YOU) about the initial Tiberium shots showing "big crystals" has been heard and Mike Verdu said they made the (harvestable) crystals smaller.
Mike Verdu says he "comes across as GDI", but he's "subversive at heart". Jason Bender says, "Peace Through Power - Nod has style".
At Leipzig, EA will be showcasing the first real-time multiplayer GDI versus Nod match, and there will be a "big announcement" that Mike Verdu thinks "will mean a *lot* to Command & Conquer fans"
One of the factions will have an "interesting, unique" and "tactical" use of Tiberium - that you'll want to be "very close to Tiberium when you're using their units"

of course they will, none of the westwood team are with EA. It will never be as good as RA2 ever again.

Welcome to EA

Yes there are. Many still work for EALA, who are producing the game.

Yeah, many of the Westwood people are still around, I believe a least a few of the founders/heads at Westwood are fairly high ranking in EA now.

And on EA games they make a number of quality titles in house, as much as it popular to abuse them Fifa and madden are amongst the best in their fields, same goes for the need for speed series. The Battle for middle earth series isn't bad either.

The last of the Westwood creative team went to Blizzard I believe that’s why they caned Red Alert 3 and started making this.

Dunno about blizzard but I knwo they left, much liek a StarCraft 2 would suck as much as warcraft 3 did because none of the original team are there.

Not all of the went to blizzard, just the ones that were left at the start of 2005, a lot had already left before then and had started up other studios.
