That term has become the thing to use lately ... from the films about vampires etc to games like this ...

But yea sounds good - I missed out C&C/RA 3 so will have to hope this will get me back into C&C as I've loved it since the original game :)

I thought the first C&C was good, but very hard. RA had it spot on. TS was a good, solid game, as was RA2. Generals was different but still good.

Then it went wrong IMO.

C&C3 was passable, but the storyline was poor and the game didn't have that "C&C feel". It seemed to try too hard.

RA3 was an utter disgrace to the series. I actually preordered it thinking that it would be good like RA2. Well first of all, it looks bad. All cartoony and totally unimmersive. Then you get introduced to all this "water conflict" crap. I mean seriously? Part of the fun was using water as a natural barrier and a strategic obstacle. Now it may as well just all be land, there's no point to it at all.

Oh, and if you're going to make a load of missons co-op, make the AI NOT SUCK.

Oh noes! The Tacitus! :o

I think this game is going to be a fitting end to the C&C franchise, and I'll be buying it before I read reviews so that I can make my own mind up about it, as long as I enjoy it then why would I care what anybody else thinks of it? :)

Oh yeah forgot about generals did get that and the addon, and it lasted a while but got repetitive faster than the first imo. They should have just expanded that massively (originals). I hated the stupid voiceovers in generals, made me rage. Especially chinese.

please please learn from your mistakes and dont make it like RA3.
This is my favourite series next to GranTurismo....cant wait even after the disaster RA3 was.

its rare i get excited about games now but the C&C series always does it:p

From the reaction of the posters on this forum i never even tried RA3. I mean was it really that bad??? I loved RA2 + the kane expansion.

I thought 3 was devoid of any of the c&c flavour and felt like a very generic RTS game. It wasn't terrible just utterly meh ... I hope this is better than 3.

I'm going to get a new PC for this game, then play C&C3 and RA3 (even though Tiberian Sun and RA2 are my fav C&C games).
