Commodore Amiga owners thread!

I remember a few things about my Amiga. I created a Utility disk with a snazzy intro using a Demo Maker. I remember telling this guy in my class at school that I had coded it and he believed me and asked me to do one for him lol. I also remember never having to buy a game as the pirate trade was so rife where I lived. Last but not least, a pron disk a friend copied for me which had 30 seconds of the worst quality pron ever, but when your're a nerd at high school, anything goes. :D

I had an Amiga 500, still have my Amiga 1200 in good working order. I've such fond memories of my childhood, but at the same time gets me a bit emotional when I play my Amiga 1200 these days. So many memories gaming with my incredible father who is no longer with us, we used to play Turrican series, The Lost Patrol, Battle Of Britain, B17 Flying Fortress, Birds Of Prey, Swiv, Project X, Shadow Of The Beast. So many hours, so many Christmases around the Amiga. Incredible gaming period, amazing memories, hundreds of stand out games I could list 50+ right here that I reckon have been the best games of all time.

Amazing machine, and the music and sfx from the games wow. I still listen to the 6 hour Amiga music complications on youtube now when I game lol.

used to go to a couple of 'meets' ever other week getting my dad to lug my A500 and a TV about where we 'traded' all the latest games a demos, good old xcopy pro :D

It was a brilliant community.

I had an A500+ all throughtout my childhood, I'd had the 1.3 ROM fitted because it was more compatible for gaming. Unfortunately, when I dug it out a few years ago it wouldn't work and I've since learned that the battery eventually leaks and nukes the motherboard. :(

Had a 600 and 1200 (probably still in my parents' attic).

Loved playing Pushover and X-It. Pushover you can get working via DOSbox. Not played it for a while though.

I can't remember what happened to my Amigas :( This thread has bought back so many memories! I used to play Speedball, Carrier Command and one other game which involved a littel soldier guy taking on the world.. Was it Rambo or something, I wish I could remember, but it was fabulous. The fun I had in that.

Loved my Amiga 500. I had the Simpsons & Captain Planet pack. It introduced me to point and click adventures such as Monkey Island and Lure of the Temptress. Great top down shooters like Alien Breed and Chaos Engine. To this day I've probably spent more hours playing Sensible World of Soccer (with Mega Drive pads) than another other game.

I got an Amiga 500+ for my 7th birthday. Pure nostalgia playing games with mum, dad and friends for many years. Many years later my mum and dad told me they stayed up the night before setting it up but ended up playing games until the early hours and were knackered on my birthday when I had a party and friends came over :D

Earliest memories are of playing Project 1, Fantasy world dizzy, Hollywood collection (specifically Robocop) Chase HQ, Bubble bobble, Power UP collection (X-Out specifically) Too many great games to mention them all

Got my first A500 in 1987. Upgraded to an A1200 in 1992 which I still own today, although it doesn't get used. At the time wedged a 270MB Connor IDE HDD in it (3.5") and a Blizzard 50 Mhz 030 + 4MB Fast Memory. Did pick up a 68882 but not sure if I ever installed it or not.

Useless personal trivia - I worked for LAN Computers (otherwise known as Diamond Computers who had the multi-page A500 deals in the Amiga magazines at the time)..

A few of the games I played the most.

BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception
Phantasie III - Wrath of Nikademus
Defender of the Crown
Wings
Curse of Azure Bonds (AD&D)
Galdregon's Domain
Drakkhen
Powermonger
Moonstone
Wizball
Speedball II
Xenon I + II
Syndicate
