The opening was truly dreadful though.

Edit: Bah, just looked on wiki and it was set in Edinburgh and filmed in Glasgow so not as apt...

I'm quite tempted to put the 'music' from the opening ceremony to pictures of singing drunk people and people generally intoxicated, falling over and doing silly things.

Yeah, it was shocking. Also, susan boyle forgot some of her first line. It was one of those uncomfortable moments where I thought she was going to come to a show wrecking stop.
