There has been a couple good eps and one AWESOME ep, the timeloop type one was epic.
Mid season break is one thing, this sounds like its more than that, it won't normally lose its timeslot, just get VERY sporadic for a couple months.
30 Rock has been woeful for 2 years at least, with 1-2 good eps, which I guess puts it on par with Community's current season.
They've been trying to save money and I don't know why, its gone downhill because of it. Probably an NBC decision or quite probably a massive bump in salary based on viewing figures and being picked up so all the money goes on the main guys now.
The first season, it was very campus oriented, as in, they'd be all over the place all the time, they would have different stories for normally pairs of the group and they'd be filming in multiple locations. Think how many bottle eps they did last year and this year, where everything happens in one location, maybe 2 or 3, and everyone is together most of the time. I mean the study group was only ever briefly in the study room the first season, the second season they did multiple full episodes in that room alone without leaving, and its happened again multiple times this season already.
Thing is, when you change something so fundamental about the show, everyone doing their own thing, on campus, to 6 people in a room, you HAVE to make the writing about the 6 people changing, or nothing would happen.
Its a shame, best show on tv for the past 2 years, they've changed the formula and the show got worse, no du'h. People always want to change this kind of thing, then it gets worse, and they don't learn.
