Community ! Can't believe there isn't a thread.

The last 2 episodes of this have been dire. The only funny part was when the dean freaked out when he saw Jeff's shadow. Unfortunately Parks and Recreation is also going down the drain :(. I am currently on the 4th season of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and that is hilarious!

Yes, its been brewing for a while it would seem and Chase at least for me seems to be in the right.

He's talked before about the sitcom getting stale, and clearly its no where near its best of season 1 or the best parts of season 2. The show used to be about community college, and would be all over it, its now 90% study room, the worst parts of all their characters and dean/chang but its never actually in relation to college stuff, they don't do classes, etc, etc. He said quite rightly that while they gear up to a Jeff speech in most episodes, it comes across as general 80-90's sitcom "lesson learned" type generic ****.

It's still on and off brilliant, but more off than on.

Anyway the Chase thing seems to be, someone at the network pushing Chase to be in the show(as realistically it was a cast of relative unknowns), creator didn't like it but didn't have a whole lot of choice. So he had a character already writen and Chase was great in it, by season 2 they were already turning the character into much more of a joke, almost everything since season 2 is turning Chase into playing a senile moron with few if any real stories.

Seems like he's trying to write Chase out of the show by making his character crap and Chase seem like a moron and the rumour is Chase walked off on the final scene because he hadn't been given a script before the day and when he saw it, left..... my guess its its not flattering and is just Chase embarrassing himself.

Then Harmon and the wrap party made a speech, told Chase to **** off and tried to get the whole cast/crew to tell Chase to do the same, and that was infront of Chase's family. So Chase for me is kinda in the right and Harmon is kinda ruining the show :(

The general format of the first season was so much better, the characters were better rounded, everything about it was better.

For me its almost certain Chase won't be in season four at this point, the show, if it was 3 years of season 1 quality would get a 4th series without him easily anyway, with it generally going downhill and not doing particularly well this season there is a bit more chance it could get cancelled. Depends if the cast are signed up for a 4th series yet and maybe how well they take to someone they like being forced off the show, who knows. I really hope there is a season 4 and someone slaps Harmon around the face till he gets back to his best and takes the show back to season one quality, I think we're most likely to get a fairly tame season 4 and then see it end :(

Only watched a handful though when my housemate has had it on. Not watched them in any kind of order at all.

My favourite episode so far is the one when they're all looking for the pen. :D

Apparently the latest episode (pt2 of the Fort wars) was written by the same guy who also did this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6xJzAYYrX8 :D

Don't know if Chase will return for s4, would be a real shame if he didn't. Who wants to bet that the way they'll write him out of the show is by switching to the "evil timeline" in the season finale, and spend all of seasons 4 and 5 with Abed sporting a goatee and Jeff being one-armed? :p

Hmm, there isn't actually an apology to Chevy, just an apology for creating the situation and for playing the message. He didn't afaik apologise to Chevy for being a complete ****, so, who knows. I don't think Chevy will be back anyway.

This is afaik, before the "blow up" and he's already kinda bored with it, pee'd off with the direction the show is taking and talking about leaving. I'm not sure without the Harmon thing he'd have been back for series 4, and afterwards I can't really see it(though money talks). Thing is I agree with a LOT of stuff in that interview, the show is regressing, fast, and not a patch on what it started as and it seems to be moving further and further away.

its possible they'll turn it around and the chance of syndication might make them spend a heck of a lot more on it for series 4 and start shooting a lot more on campus again like series 1. Chevy's character though, has been pretty useless this season and most of last. Broken leg, generally being weird before that (leading up to the broken leg) the pill addiction and generally only playing a senile fool this season. Harmon has writen Pierce into a **** character so its probably best he leaves and he writes someone new for the show.

Chevy is a **** and everyone knows it, whether they admit it or not.

That's not to say that Harmon was a nice guy to him, though Chase has the tendency to quit shows in a bad light.

Complete Season 1 is on Virgin On Demand. I know I'm late, but glad I held out, as it looks stunning in 1080i. Those 720p re-encodes look pants in comparison.

Thought the latest one was again pretty decent, enjoying this season so far..

Troy.....
"I didn't get inception... I didn't get inception.. so many layers!"
I couldn't stop laughing :p

I thought the last 2? shows (starting from the fake docu so 2 or 3) have been the best of the season. I like it when Annie is on screen and this episode had lots of Annie :D
