Well would you honestly disagree? You should have only had 8 men by the end of the game & the free kick for your goal was no free kick ;) The ref & linesmen clearly were a tad bias or just very poor on a number of decisions. Had Arsenal played well instead of tired, diving & violently & won then I would have no problem...as they lost I still have no problem.

I think us and United were on a par and a couple of our players had little digs which could have resulted in red cards.

Once again, he he he:D

Man U looked the better team, Howard looks a good keepr don't think I can say the same about Lameman though. But its still pre-season the real stuff starts next week :D

Well Man U deserve the win.

Arsenal should have had Cole, Jeffers & Campbell sent off. Vieira has been cheating like no one's buisness & Jeffers should have a bigger than 3 game suspension!

I see you have been watching the match with ur tinted glasses ;) hehe. Isn't it a suprise you happen to support spurs as well

Well done Man utd, it was a VERY close game imo, in the first half man utd were better, in the 2nd half i think we just shaded it. Overall you could say man utd were slightly better coz after we had a player off we didn't look very threatening.

Oh and RvN missed his pen, it was odd coz he jumped up in air afterwards and im thinking there is something wrong with me eyes coz i thought he was celebrating lol :p

Im with Gilly when it comes to the goalkeepers, im convinced about either tbh.

This match has never and will never mean much to me. Its basically a pre-season friendly. Both teams looked tired and if it wasn't Arsenal playing i would have turned the tele off coz the match got well boring at times.

I must say so we didn't look to bad for a team who is past it and written off by many :) Our defending usually was quite solid and it was obvious some of the lads weren't match fit. Didn't help playing when it was boiling hot either, i think it was 39C in the stadium

good game, like andi sez, for a game that doesnt mean too much my old ticker was going at a fair pace heh :D

one thing i noticed though, it seemed viera had been watching some videos of Heskey in his time off, he spent soo much time on his ass when someone got near him.

Howard was brilliant apart from the freekick, Djemba looks like a great signing, and that Lehman has a unique style when it comes to penalty kicks, must admit i like it.

GG roll on premiership :)

What Campbell did was no different to what Scholes did to Lauren on the sideline......

Good game. Arsenal shaded it for me but didn't make many chances. Both teams looked as strong as usual but I was particularly pleased to see Ruud miss a penalty ;) Gave me a warm feeling inside on this miserable day hehe.

Toure looked comfortable at centreback too! I was a bit wary of him with his size, but he certainly looks competent enough.

Bergkamp - did nothing. Poor performance and like the commentators said, in a game that was slow paced, he should have been revelling in it. But he did nothing at all. Very disappointing.

Djemba-Djemba - classy player :D

Oh, and Francis Jeffers. The first thing I said when that happened was IDIOT. Why bother? It's not going to achieve anything. It wasn't even a foul on him if you ask me

Can't wait for the new season to start now.

Vieira didn't do much wrong imo ;) (hehe sorry i couldn't resist :p)

From the angle i saw he went down too easily in a djemba tackle BUT djemba didn't complain or anything so maybe he did take him down :dunno: Vieira doesn't dive but if he is fouled slightly he does go abit over the top sometimes to make sure he gets the decision his way. You have to remember he is fouled on purpose a lot of the time as well as players like him are seen as easy targets to wind up.

Lets not forget RvN and his diving! The one against Cole was a classic the way he reacted a second after being touched, also when he bumped into giggs and looked at the ref for a pen lol :p

As for Campbell, i think it was Djemba's foot that nearly caught him in his balls, it might not of been intentional but i can tell you it must have hurt

Don't think we did too bad considering the heat, the players had been trained quite hard in the days leading upto it and many first team players weren't fit.

I'm not so sure. I think they both looked dodgy keepers.

I'd put Howard in my FF team. Might put Sorensen in instead.

He did get a hand to Henrys goal, but should have been quicker to it, other than that he was fine, Lehman(sp) the Arsenal keeper, was tosh, flapping away at corners, being lost on both headers, and any time the ball went near him.
Taylor in goal for Arsenal for me, he is about 10,000 times better than the clown who played today.
Too much at stake for Arsenal to be taking chances with loons like him.

He wasn't that bad imo. He didn't have a great game but he wasn't that bad either.

Also your prediction about us winning was wrong hehe, unlike you to get things wrong heh ;)

Cough !!! What about Scholes First Half?? Ok like Most Man U fans suffer from Memory loss,
well it's true they can never find the ground hehe thank God for Sky,
and what about Van missalots dive in the box whe he tried to cover up his miss !!!!!!
you only sing when you are winning, thought you were poor ,flat, boaring, lacked any ideas . y
;) ;) IMO:D

Thanks, i hold my 23% succsses record of all things predicted coming to pass, very close to me heart.
But i think i will be proved right over Lehman, he was poor today, and i think he is going to let the Arsenal down big style. He didnt seem to know even the basics of goal keeping today.:p

You've all covered most of the bits but can i just state just HOW ******* SAD RvN is to be diving like he's been shot in a friendly. Once when he claimed for a pen and the other time in a position of no advantage to anyone . He really annoys especially when he such a good player and doesnt need too.

I think Toure looked spot on, made a couple of great challenges, our defence looks pretty good if it stays like that so they get more used to each other.

Jeffers needs releasing cos he is pants and his reaction today should be a nail in the coffin.

Campbell was lucky to not get a red let alone a yellow cos he defo kicked out.

Also WTF was Lehman doing on the first pen .

23% is pretty good, i thought your % was higher though, ur the man when it comes to predicting ;)

As for Lehmann, he is allright. In corners he didn't really have space so u can't expect him to catch em all. Also iirc he dived the right way for every penalty, just missed Ole's penalty as well. Has a unique style though :o

Also Taylor will become our No.1 but he is too young to be thrown straight in

astraman, Cem supports Spurs. Hence his biased comments ;)

At least Lehmann saved RVN's penalty he was worth is transfare fee in full for that :D LOL and to watch RVN jump in the air thinking he had scored was great fun. :D

If you're going to quote Monty Python, get it right at least :p :D

and his name is, Eric Djemba-Djemba

but would rather be know as Eric Djemba, quite understandable. :)

What, when Scholes came in late with the tackle? How does that compare to kicking someone in the back of the leg?

Cole should have walked and so should Campbell. Referee was absolutely dire, what was he doing for 20 mins whilst the penalties were being taken? And i lost count the number of times he was in the way of the ball..
