I work 2 miles down the road so its 5-10mins on my scooter and 15mins to cycle. i normally cycle unless its wet because id be stuck with a wet bum all day i guess im lucky i live on a tiny island it doesnt take more than 20mins to get anywhere over here unless theres traffic.
60 miles each way for me. Early morning journey in takes around an hour. Journey home can be anything between 1 hour 30 and 3 hours. Friday afternoons sometimes even more.
I would commute up to 50 miles (as far as Bournemouth from home) - this distance would take almost exactly an hour end to end - In fact I had an interview today for a job on the edge of Bournemouth just off the motorway.
It's an easy drive, all motorway and as such easy on the petrol and a relaxing drive too unlike driving to Portsmouth which is sub 12 miles away end to end but takes the same time due to the stop/start traffic as you move into the city.
I'd only really do it if it was mainly a motorway commute like that though end to end and not having to get off the motorway then spend 30 more minutes within the city stuck in traffic.
Hop on the tram for 1 stop, the metro for 1 stop, then walk 5 mins to my office, usually takes about 15-25 mins depending how long I have to wait for the tram or train to come. Or I can just work from home but only do that now and then.
about 15mins by train then about a 20 minute walk, i hate waiting around for public transport. Enjoy walking tbh, i feel sorry for all the motorists getting stressed in the rush hour traffic that i walk past to and from the station. Not my thing lol.
