My first impressions of CoH was not great but it grew on me very quickly, same with the 2nd installment. Its not intuitive, your men are unable to do even the most basic of things but I know I will learn to be better. Its a little like life...
Agree that this doesn't have the same immediate appeal as COH1 and it feels more like a fan based expansion rather than something they have had many years to work on.
It is a bit of a machine killer too - might stick this one on the back burner for a bit to see if it gets optimised or new drivers get released. Failing that I might wait for new hardware generations to catch up so I can play it at a decent framerate on my 1440p monitor as my [email protected] and GTX680 are struggling
Zavi replied and emailed me a CD-Key for pre-order bonus.
30fps with a 670 GTX FTW edition, i5 @ 3.4Ghz and 8GB ram...
at 1080p? What a joke, terribly optimised, the game looks like cack as well!
Old i5 or new i5?
What settings were you running in game.
I found this that should give a rough idea of performance but as I said earlier in the thread, Nvidia cards seem to under perform (despite their godly drivers )

Latest version (ivy? Or sandy, can never remember).
Either way, it makes mince meat out of 95% of games I throw at it, but this one, I have to turn off AA and physx entirely to get at least 45fps. It's silly.
It really has put me off playing.
Doesnt sound promising if people with better specs are struggling to maintain playable FPS
