Comparation: average salary...

diesel 1,90 swiss franc, about 1,30 pound.

Yes, at Mac Donald the big mac menu about 7,50, but people go really occasionally in those places eating, better a restaurant.

I've been in london several times and find the city expensive, ok all cities are now expensive, probably zurich is more expansive than london. But here in southern switzerland the prices are lower than in the northern part. If you look statistics, zurich is one of the richest city in the world.

Here we have the great problem of Italian people that want to work here because salary is much more higher than in italy. In a region with 350000 people we have ( every day ) 50000 people from italy.

I say great problem because many years ago they worked in restaurants and buildings...now they sometimes have managment position and local people here doesn't find the job. Obviously the salary for italians people is lower than swiss people but always very high for living in italy ( about the double ).

I heard meat is ridiculously expensive in switzerland.

International suppliers can also struggle bothering to import things to Switizerland because it needs to be labelled in three languages.

There are also laws about flushing your toilet after a certain time, having your washing machine on after a certain time and so on... =strange place. :o

Seems generally cheaper than london!

*Contemplates moving to switzerland* :D

I know your post is said in jest, but I'd consider looking at Switzerland's laws and general culture. They're very strict on some things and are hardly renound as the most exciting nation (no disrespect meant).
