That is a choice you have to make on your own. I find my be quiet! Silent Loop 280 to be a nice cooler .. and it is the only AIO (not CLC) I have used. I have tried a few CLCs and did not like their noise. We have 5 computers and only one is liquid. Others have Dark Rock Pro 3, PH-TC14PE, TRUE Spirit 140 rev. 1 and Macho in them. I'm planning 2 more systems and both will almost assuredly be air cooled.

I want to replace the aio with air cooler as long as my temps don't rise to much, can I ask for your opinion on what would be better

1. low profile memory with Noctua d15
2. keep current aio and front mount it
3. Purchase a air cooler that fits with current setup

1. Your RAM is not too tall for D15, TC14PE, etc. It is too tall to mount a 140mm fan over.
2. You can use your AIO if you want.
3. PH-TC14PE will fit over the RAM and will perform well with a single fan .. or pull / pull fans.
