Wow, seriously.

I've been a web designer for over 13 years now, but can fully accept that the better design won.

I cannot understand your attitude in the slightest. Would you take this attitude with a client paying you money if they disapproved of your 'best' design?

I can honestly say it was fun to take part in and appreciation to OCUK & Antec for holding a competition like this. Winning isn't everything, there's always someone 'better' than you out there, otherwise nobody would strive to better themselves.
 
1LANCS, if you were so sure that your design + some sort of photoshop filter would have won, why didnt you enter that in the first place.

you could have easily entered the one with the filters into the competition and then sent the mods a polite message saying you think another one you have made looks more professional in your opinion, and that they should consider using it instead of the one with the filters

personally i think your just jealous that you didnt win, so quit throwing your toys out of your pram

but the winners one was a close second personally.

Congratulations Narziss, any chance I could come round and you could show me how to get to grips with your warez copy of photoshop, perhaps show me the simplicity of this layers stuff :D

Quite simply if you were getting paid well for being an uber designer you wouldn't be getting bent out of shape over someone else winning a couple of hundred quids worth of Ocuk gear in a 'friendly' comp.

I knew I was beat after a few of the last ones came out. Going to have to fund part of my new build some other way though!
Kinda Gutted not to make final four though... Oh Well!.. maybe next time. :(

Can you delete all of 1LANCS posts? His attitude is frankly embarrassing as a community member and designer.

Good compo again people, enjoy that upgrade Narziss! I'm still determined to win one of these!
 
I have been keeping a close eye on this thread and the extraordinary work by people here and Narziss was without a doubt the winner for this competition, however I have to admit that NathWraith work was superior to everyone else's here and should have won if he could have entered! :p :D

So a huge congrats to Narziss! Well deserved! :)


Wish I had the designer skills of some of the people here that posted these amazing entries :(

As for 1LANCS behaviour, ignore him, just annoyed/jealous cause he didn't win and their was better work posted here than his.

All I can say to him is good riddance.

Seems a bit childish the argument in this topic, personally don't see the issue in looking at someone elses designs and taking the good points, and then further adapting it to be better.

I bet everyone who entered it looked around websites for ideas.

It is one of many out of my extensive portfolio.

Indeed! That is the way that I look at it as well, the only bad thing is that it kind of ruins Narziss moment, but I am sure that he won't mind at all or really care since he is the winner and everyone here (apart from the 10 year old...) has stated that he is worthy of winning the comp.. as well! :) (excluding naths entry of course :p)
